Ok, so here's the scenario (I will preface this by saying I know it's all subjective). We own SSR. With pricing dipping, I'm wanting to purchase a different resort and eventually sell SSR. I'm trying to figure out if this is a "smart" thing to do or should I just let it be and try to get some of the other resorts I like at 7 months out (which has been difficult but not impossible). If I sell SSR right now, I'm definitely losing $$. Do we think eventually there will be a pause on how low these contracts go????? I know it's speculation and hope I'm being clear with what I'm thinking of doing. Thoughts?

Smartest is keep SSR and buy another contract where you want to stay the most
Smarter is keeping SSR and using it
Smart is buying where you want to stay the most

SSR was always cheaper, so while it has taken a hit, it's less in dollars than the more expensive resorts. And you might not be down at all. I bought 2019 and would be breaking even-ish.

This is your chance to buy in at a more expensive resort with a big contract. If that's what you want to do, then now is the time to do it, even if you take a few hundred dollar hit on SSR.

And it's not like you have to sell the SSR right this minute. Do it this summer or whatever, if you think that's smarter.

We have bought and sold a few times. Prices are definitely on the decline right now, so while you are losing on one end, you may be getting a good deal on a resort you would prefer to have.

I did sell SSR in March to add on more than I had planned at VGF direct. It cost me to do that, but for me, it was worth it because it did allow me to get a cheaper price on the VGF points ($179/pt for 300 vs. $197/pt for the original 150 I was planning to buy).

Good luck!

Thanks! Honestly I know it's shorter time but I am looking at BCV. Especially since I saw that last one go through at $135!
