I'm trying to think of new places to go. If you were to recommend your 5 favorite things to do in your state, what would they be?
Here are mine:

CT
1. Lake Compounce- Americas oldest continually operating amusement
park. Fun family park with great rides & free soda/water.
2. Satan's Kingdom/ Farmington River Tubing- It's river tubing- fun and
adventure for all (over 10 yo), with three sets of rapids and lots of
calm for relaxing and swimming.
3. Rocky Neck State Park- Swim or play on the rocks. Walk down the
fishing thingy out into the ocean. Go crabbing, fly a kite, hike or play
some ball.
4. Smiles- It's an arcade, with batting cages and bumper boats. Play
Skee-ball or other ticket games and win fun prizes. Not junk, but
actual things that you can use like travel mugs and candy.
5. Mystic Seaport- Water, boats, shops, history, shops. Walking and
sight-seeing. Not alot to actually "do", but it is a nice place to walk
around and get some fresh air and history.

Ohio...Go BUCKS!!!

1. Cedar Point!!!!

2. Kings Island

3. Geauga Lake

4. Kalahari indoor waterpark... or Great Wolf Lodge, or Castaway Bay... ;) or go for the big water and head to Lake Erie:cool1:

5... :scratchin several state parks.. or maybe Rock n Roll Hall of Fame...:confused3 there is actually a ton to do in Ohio....

Mississippi:

1. Buy your cigarettes here - lowest cig taxes in the land!

2. It's probably on your way to WDW

3. You'll look like a genius by comparison

That's all I can come up with.

I'm kidding, of course.

1. Go to the Coast and see what happened and what's happening.
2. The Delta is the birthplace of the Blues - lots of museums on music and the Civil Rights Era.
3. Casinas - if that's your cup o tea. I think we rank third behind Vegas and Atlantic City as a "gaming" destination.
4. Pretty good weather (excluding tornado and hurricane days)
5. Ole Miss

New Hampshire:

1. It's cold
2. We have snow (and it's snowing now!)
3. We have colorful leaves
4. It's cold
5. We have snow (yes, it's still snowing)

Seriously, that's about it. (I'm not a fan of living here).

I have several states for sale. Each is very reasonable. Just send you certified checks to

Mickeyfan2
45654 Somewhere Lane
City, State 87642

Colorado . . .

1) Hiking
2) Skiing
3) Relaxing in a hot springs pool
4) Sightseeing in the Mesa Verde/Silverton/Ouray areas
5) Listening to the excellent musicians at our summer music festivals in Aspen, Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, etc.

Kentucky:

1) Lowest dental bills in the country since we have no teeth.

OK-just kidding

1)Horses-everything from the Derby in Louisville to Keeneland in Lexington to the KY Horse Park along I75. Some of the most scenic farms in the country are located in Central KY.

2)Lake Cumberland-one of the largest inland lakes in the country when filled-unfortunately the dam is leaking and the water level is lower this year. Great relaxing weekends are found here in the summer.

3)Toyota-if the largest automaker in the world finds KY to be attractive enough to build it's largest plant here, it must not be that bad of a place. The tours are free too.

4)Location. location, location. Over half of the country's population lives within a days drive of central KY. If we don't have what you want here, it's not too far away. We have many scenic lakes and rivers, head east for mountains and hiking, head south and southwest for Dale Hollow and other lakes.

5)Louisville-has all of the big city amenities with a small town feeling. The zoo is nice, Six Flags has a park there, the Louisville Slugger museum is located downtown. Not a bad place to visit.

6)For the women, George Clooney was born here.

Do you think this is enough to get Billy Donovan back to Lexington where he belongs?

I was born and raised in New Mexico (Roswell to be specific), so I still a New Mexican at heart, and I'd have to agree with this as well. But may I add something? Roswell, the home of the alien crash of 1947.
