Sell me on Epcot!

We all loooooove Epcot and spend alot of time there when we're there.
We love all the food from all the different countrys, how great everything looks like your really standing in those countrys and just the whole atmosphere.

We really like all the rides too but we seem to mainly spend our time there in the world showcase. I'd love it if they added another country soon!

Epcot is amazing.. drinks around the world, great rides, great atmosphere... If there was no Epcot, I don't think I would go to Disney every year.

Epcot is lots of fun - I wish we got to spend more time there the last time we went. It was really not that nice out, so we ended up only spending a few hours there and hitting some big attractions. Next year, I plan to spend more time there:)

Epcot is not our favorite park but, that being said, it is still an AMAZING Disney park! I enjoy walking around the World Showcase and visiting the different countries. I also REALLY enjoy the Illuminations fireworks show (have only seen it once, looking forward to seeing it again on our upcoming trip!).

One thing that I think Epcot does better than the other three parks is the food. There are so many super yummy restaurants in Epcot....I wish we had the time (and then money) to visit them all!

We don't have kids, but I've heard often on the DisBoards that kids love Epcot. Have fun!!

Epcot is my families favorite park. There is so much to do there. We are planning 2.5 days in Epcot on our upcoming trip. :)

Forgot to mention, since you will be there during the Food & Wine Festival around World Showcase. If you are staying at a Disney resort, and you have a dining plan, you can use your snack credits to pay for the food plates at all the F&W food booths. They are appetizer size, but a little of this, and a little of that, pretty soon you're full. Make sure to get a F&W brochure on the way in, check out the different food offerings, and check to see who is performing at the American Gardens Theatre along the lake in front of the American Pavilion. It's usually someone really good.

Are you kidding?

Epcot is a park to be savored and explored...if you try to rush through it, you'll miss half of it's charm.

I could not have said this any better! Epcot is our favorite park!

Just put it this way, when my DS 10 had made a quiz for me and one of his questions was "what is my (his) favorite place in the whole world" I answered WDW, and his answer was "Epcot". :)
Last 2 trips have been 14 days with 10 WDW park days. The last day is always the kids choice, and they always want to go to Epcot. It's really the wonder of it.
ETA: we spent 3 days there last 2x.

In 3 weeks we will be making our 2nd trip to WDW. Last time we did not go to Epcot but will be spending 1 day there for sure this time. Help me get excited about Epcot. It seems so different than the other parks. Our kids are 9 and 7. We'll do Soarin and Test Track for sure, but where should we spend the rest of our time? Innoventions? Univ of Energy? The land? Nothing just jumps out at me as being super exciting. Suggestions?
Sell you EPCOT.. how much are you willing to pay? :lmao: I take Disney Cash only.. or will also accept a tag along trip.. I can be your guide and show you all the wonders of EPCOT... Here are some of my kids favorites when they were younger.. beside the foods from around the world.....:thumbsup2

Mexico.. they have a silly cute ride for the kids.. yes, it's silly but it is never the less cute and on the lines of IASW.

Norway...they have a small ride for the kids as well. It is in the dark, goes down a small drop as pirates. Another cute one.

Inoventions.....tons of fun things to do in there

Journey to the Imagination..... OMG... my DD and her friend would want to ride this over & over just for the song :rotfl:

Living Seas...when my DD was younger, they didn't have Nemo, so that is a plus now.. and yes, she will be 19 next week but does like it. She loved to go and watch the Manatee's and Dolphin's swim. She really enjoyed watching them during their feeding time.

I use to think that EPCOT was not for kids until my kids showed me different. EPCOT happened to turn out to be my younger DD's favorite park.. yep, you heard me correctly. She preferred to go to EPCOT over the MK :confused3 now my other 2 kids would rather have gone to the MK over EPCOT, but did enjoy it... and never complained about going there.

Epcot has been my daughter's favorite too. We went when she was 6 and 8 and we are going this year, when she'll be 11. At six we collected signatures, did the Kidcot stations in each country and we collected penny presses from each country. When she was 8 we spent most of our time in Innoventions exploring everything. She has loved Soarin and Spaceship Earth. We still haven't seen everything there is to see. Can't wait for our trip in 35 days!

We are an Epcot family as well. It has always been DS's favorite park, he's 8. He loves going through the countries, watching the movies. He loves the store in Japan. We do the rides, and do Innoventions. It's always the first park we have to go to every trip. We didn't even realize it was a tradition, or what we did, until our last trip. Ethan insisted we go to Epcot first because it's always what we do! He fell in love with Captain EO. So weird, his frame of reference....any time he hears Thriller, it's not Michael Jackson, it's Captain EO! Have fun....

My 9 and 10 year olds have loved Epcot for years. My husband and I love it too. It's my second favorite park after MK. We have to go there at least twice during a trip to WDW.

Future World:
Soarin'
Test Track
Living Seas pavillion
Mission Space
Journey Into Imagination with Figment (if only for the skunk part!)
The ride in the big silver ball (name escapes me now) - and then seeing their faces on the screens when you get off (it's based on the ride and funny)

They also love the World Showcase. They can get snacks from different countries, listen to the bands in Canada and UK, meet characters in the pavillions, do the Kim Possible game throughout the countries, see some of the movies, the boat ride in Mexico, and the snow cones in Japan. They really liked the movie in the American Pavillion.

Last time we went, we were picked as the family to open Epcot, and we got our pictures with Mickey, MInnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto, got three Fastpasses for each person and got to ride in one of the Test Track cars to Mission Space, where we got a behind the scenes tour. It was awesome.

If your kids are still into seeing characters, there are many thoughout Future World in the pavillions, as well as the major ones in Future World in a photo spot.

We love all the restaurant choices - especially Chefs de France, Mexico, the teriyaki chicken in the Japanese pavillion - and the store there too!

My 6yo loves Epcot and she was there when she was 3 and 4. Of course there is Soarin and Test Track. But we love the Living with the Land ride - fun and educational. Innoventions is great.

we love going to the different countrys..Lucie particularly looks forward to seeing the Effiel Tower. There are great things to see in each of the countrys - we love the shop in Japan and the acrobats in china, love, love the pastry shop in france. and you can find the characters in each of the countrys.

After the Magic Kingdom, Epcot is the park we spend the most time in.

my kids are now 11& 15 but ever since they have been like 5 & 9 it has been their favorite park. Yes Test Track and soaring, Innoventions is their must "go to" and the countries are just great. Actually almost everything there we do each trip.....sounds like yours are at a good age for it too. Hvae fun either way!
