Select 4E (previous category 5E) Verandah Pictures... finally!

I've seen some pictures that make it look like the Deck 5 Forward balconies on the Dream are longer then the ones on the higher decks. It looks like they are extended out to cover some lifeboats. Has anyone stayed in the Deck 5 veranda rooms that can confirm or deny this?

I stayed right above one aft - in 6650. The verandah was twice as deep as mine. Very nice. The furniture was the same though, but I saw that several people had put the coffee table from the room out there too, I'm guessing to make more room in the room itself.

This is a good picture that shows the extended Verandah on Deck 5 forward that I was talking about. Does anyone know if it's as long as it looks? And it looks like you there is nothing dividing the rooms (I know that's not true), anybody been in these yet?

We just got back from our trip for the 2/6 Dream 4-night. Our biggest suprise was that tnot only was the verandah in 5650 extended outwards, as expected, it was also extended to the left for I'd guess another cabin's width. I'd estimate that the verandah in 5650 was almost 6x the size of a regular one (~3x outwards & ~2x sideways). Crazy!

I couldn't tell from outside while docked at CC whether this is the case with the equivalent port cabin, 5150, as well.

Also, in case this hasn't been conclusively answered here, you CAN get to the kids' areas on deck 5 midship from the deck 5 aft cabins, via a hallway on the port side of the ship.

Any issues with noise being in the area above Evolution?

Thanks for that info! I was hoping we could use the aft stairs!

Cool! What category is this cabin, does it sleep 3,4,5?
Thanks!!
Tara

Do you know if you can get all the way forward? We are in 5130 and trying to see if we can access the Lab and such. Thanks!!

Any pictures to share? I am booked in that room on the fantasy and would love to see.

Yes - 5150 has the same verandah. We were up on deck 7 and could see the 5150 verandah - we were trying to figure out if 5650 had the same verandah as we have booked it for the April 21, '12 Eastern Fantasy Cruise!

Thank you for sharing this information - especially about not hearing the clubs. It's gonna be a great week!:woohoo:

How about noise with the kids' club next door? We originally had this cabin for a member of our cruising group but once we saw that the clubs were next door, we switched. darn...

I could sometimes hear kids' club noise while I was standing in the hall outside our room (there is an alarmed door right there where the hall dead-ends). But never from inside the room.

Can you walk directly across from cabin 5650 to 5150 .....or do you have to go back down the hallway into the elevator area, and back up the opposite hallway to reach it ?:confused3

The latter - it's not far at all though!

I made this discovery months back when looking at the pics when the ship left drydock. I booked the room in hopes of the big veranda. I guess I did well. I think the room on the other side 5150 is handicapped accessible and therefore not open to booking.
