My friend and I are thinking about taking the Segway tour and I have a question about the minimum weight limit. I don't know if I weight enough. I'm only 85lbs but am 20 years old.
Do I not weight enough to take the Segway tour??
I have yet to see anything about a minimum weight, but I would imagine that there are plenty 16 year olds (min age) who are around 85 lbs... I was at that age. The max is 250, I believe.
I'd suggest you call and ask.
Someone who owned a Segway posted once that the owner's manual says a minimum weight of 100 pounds though (from what was posted, I guess some of the safety features may not work correctly with too little weight on the Segway).
We own a Segway and have had as little as 30lb. kids riding around on it.
The problem with too light a rider is their ability to stop the segway.
However all the kids really have to do is really shift their weight rearward to stop the unit.
I wouldn't be too worried as you are very close to the 100lb minimum limit and being taller (hopefully) than a 4 yr. old 30 lb child you can move your center of gravity with much more precision.
I would hope that the previous people that have taken a segway tour at WDW could let you know if any of them had to be weighed before taken the tour??
I wouldn't think they do that and would imagine you would not be hassled about it, anf furthermore should have no problem riding the segway with ease.
