So I'm going to surprise my boyfriend with this!
I can't find how to book it though - can you book it online or do I have to call?

Thanks!

You have to call. The tour number is 407-939-8687. I just booked this as a gift for my DFH.

what is the price range for this? i would love to do it on my visit in september!

Hi all,

So you know.. I was able to get a reservation with not much time in advance. Today is 8/15 and I got a 9AM reservation for 8/26. It's $105 per person.

Can't wait! Bring on the helmet hair. :)

Did this 2 years ago with DH and loved it. Have a great time!

I've done this twice and booked both times the day before, since I wanted to make sure of the weather cooperating before I committed the $$$.

Also, they do offer a discount for AAA/ CAA so if you're not an AP or DVC member, then you could try that.

Great fun, by the way. You'll love it!

I did the Segway tour in July. My sister is a cast member and we got 50% off. We went on the earliest tour, 7:45 a.m. You have to meet at the front entrance to Epcot and they have your names and will escort you into the park to the area where you meet your guide. You do a Segway instructional hour at Innoventions and they take you through drills so everyone is comfortable. Then you go out in the WS. The earliest times are less crowded and better in the WS.

This tour was really fun and very unique. I wish we could have gone around the WS twice.

We were thinking of doing this....I have a side question... for the 7:45 am tour what's the best way to get to the Future World entrance if we are staying at an EPCOT resort....I'm thinking cab. I don't think the gateway would let me through.

I don't mean to hijack, but what are the earliest times for the tour, that will allow us to tour the showcase before it officially opens?

They all tour before the showcase opens. We did the latest tour and we were finishing up in World Showcase, heading back to Future World when the people started coming in.

The gate people at the Intl Gateway 'should' have a listing of those with reservations within the park. I would double check with them the day before your tour. If they say no, you can't access the WS area that early, then just take a cab over.

We took a tour at about 8:30. We hit the road, so to speak, around 9:30ish. We were all alone in WS, except for those with Akershus ADRs. But, we really didn't go in that direction.
By the time we headed back, people were starting to drift over towards WS. I would imagine that if you book before 9am, you should be fine...WS opens at 11, and you would be heading out of WS by about 10:45ish.

can I call from england to book this? would love to do it when we come over in september...

This access to the international gateway was an issue for us because we were staying at Beach Club. We ended up driving over with my sister (a CM) who parked at the front entrance of Epcot. We confirmed that for the 7:45 a.m. tour you can NOT go to the International gateway. Too early.

If I was doing this again I would check with Disney Dining to see how early you can get in the gateway for the Princess Norway breakfast. Whatever time it opens up for those guests would be the time that you could also walk over and get in that side. I would book maybe the 8:30 tour.

As far as taking a cab to Epcot, I was told by a CM that cabs are charged the $15 parking tariff to go through the gates to drop off guests. Something to keep in mind, if that is in fact true.

Ok good to know....might be a good idea to wait until the 8:30 tour.
