This may not interest all of you, but I know that where there are Sea World fans, there are generally animal-aware folks! =) I generally don't post things like this, either.. but this film moved me so deeply that I couldn't hold my tongue.
At any rate, I just wanted to mention a Canadian film that hit DVD recently: "Sharkwater."
"Sharkwater" has made great steps in raising awareness of the huge issue of shark finning, which is steadily decimating the world's shark populations. And it has some of the most beautiful underwater footage I've seen.
So... I just figured I'd pass the word along to you folks. If you have the chance and are interested in marine conservation, please check this film out.

And speaking of conservation, consider checking out the Hubbs-Seaworld Research Institute website... obviously their focus is on marine mammals, but there's also some interesting research on other marine subjects.
