Seen Anyone Famous at the Resorts?

O.K. guys, you got me. I was just playing around. There are no such people. Just my weird sense of humor.

However, I have seen my share of famous people living in NYC, there are always sightings, but never in Disney. Oh well.

Ohhh, yes, and I forgot to add that when I saw Oprah we went out to eat at the Blue Bayou and then flew over to WDW in her private jet, landing in front of GF, where we rode in the front of the monorail over to MK and then watched wishes from a lagoon cruise boat....

oh, wait, that is what I imagined afterward...

I saw Hulk Hogan at the Grand Floridian with his wife and two kids. It was several years ago as his kids were still little.

When I went to the Grand Floridian 2 years ago I saw members of Metallica and there kids and Jim Bueller (comedian, Half Baked)

Was it Metallica? I heard someone saw the singer James Hetfield at the GF with his kids.

Nope, not Metallica. Though I wouldn't recognize them, I've heard of them. I was very hip until about 1996. Not anymore. They wrote that "1985" song for me!

i also saw president bush during november 2003 at the gf, we were having our wedding site visit. we were stopped at the convention center by a suited man & saw bush & family walk right past us.

I saw Mary Lou Retton and her daughters at Wilderness Lodge this past spring. They ate 2 tables from us at the WCC. Apparently while I was in the restroom with my son (wouldn't you know it?) her daughter did backhandsprings across the restaurant. My mother swears to this. Not sure how appropriate that was in a crowded restaurant....

IN 1995 (I think it was 95) we saw Alex Trebek in the WL where he and we were staying! We got our picture taken with him!

My family and I saw Walter Koenig who played Chekov in the original Star Trek movies and series at the Polynesian last October. He was eating at Captain Cook's Snack Company.

And while not at a WDW resort, we also saw pre-gov (ugh!) Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Grand Californian in CA.

We saw him in the elevator at the Poly. He held the door open so we could get DS's wheelchair in. HE HAS THE BIGGEST ARMS I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!. Very sweet and very nice. He was getting "scolded" by his wife for standing in the way of the wheelchair. We said its ok and DD and DH stared. I thought it was because he had such big arms (wearing a tank type shirt) later I found out who he was. We saw him again with his family eating in the Kona Cafe. They were with a Disney CM and he was on the phone the whole meal. We didnt ask for an autograph.

Where are the suites in the Contemporary? I would assume somewhere in the tower? I wonder why the Contemporary and GF seem to attract so many famous people and not the Poly? No one's been spotted at Poly yet....
