Seen Anyone Famous at the Resorts?

In line at the Boardwalk Bakery I was talking to the 2-year-old son of the guy in front of me. He talked about the baby and thumb-sucking and I told him I'd had a thumb-sucker, too, etc.

After he left the girl behind the counter asked me if I knew him and I said No, so she asked if I knew who he was, and I said no, and started thinking she was nuts. She then told me he was so-and-so, from some famous popular rock band. I thought, "that explains the hair," (he had really weird hair). I'd never heard of the band and she started naming all the songs, but it was lost on me. I thought she was going to hyperventilate.

By the time I got back to the room I'd forgotten his name and the name of the band.

But I know I met someone famous. :teeth:

Was it Metallica? I heard someone saw the singer James Hetfield at the GF with his kids. :groom:

We saw Florida Gov. Bush at the GF and on the same day we saw President Bush's motorcade pulling into the GF. They were both there for a campaign fundraiser for 2004 election. Security was super tight...no buses, monorails or boats allowed to leave GF when Pres. arrived so we were stuck there for a while (not a bad place to be stuck, though!)...even had divers in the lagoon all morning searching for who knows what. Very cool though...

Weird... no hits on them on yahoo or google search engines nor amazon.com and no listing of them on the Billboard Music charts... these people must be totally esoteric! They are so magic that their internet presence disappeared! Also, no sign of them on ticketmaster.com. Do they go by some different name? How do they sell cd's, mail order?

You might want to look up their magic names that they use when they do the din shows. They use folk and Mare but when they do the music concert follie ups they use Beth Lore and Dan Stir.

However, when they played the garden in NYC, they used the previous din show and not the follie up so they use the other names that are on the CD and the internet service.

I'm surprised that they are so hard to find. Try going to their website folklore and the disappearing sun. It's a very unique perspective on the aforementioned string theory shows where they introduced the Harpman singers. Under different names of course.

Hope this helps.

Last year, I saw Kelly Ripa and kids at Epcot. It was the day after filming the Christmas Parade. New Years, we saw John Stamos and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen on the Aerosmith ride at MGM.

In 1986 I stood in line at the Haunted House with Julian Lennon, John Lennon's son. He looked so much like his dad, it blew me away. He was really friendly though, i got his picture without causing a riot. No one knew who he was.

I think that would have been the same time I was there...It was in November of 2003, if I remember correctly. Didn't see Jeb, though.

I saw Joey Fatone (Backstreet Boy or NSyncer?) and he was in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, at the F&WF last year. I didn't say anything, but it was neat to see him.

I too saw him last year at MNSSHP. I secretly got him on my video camera

I agree. It's kind of strange there is NOTHING on them anywhere... do you have a link to any of their music or names of their CD's? :confused3

There are no such people. The poster was making it up.

Ok I am thinking this is just not my (or most of americas) type of music. :confused3 I would love to know when they were on the billboard. Never mind, no I don't. I think you walk too the beat of a different follie up string theory(what ever that is). :rolleyes1 People that you have to explain are not famous. Famouse means EVERYONE KNOWS THEM :teacher: .You may idolize them for some unknown reason but that does not make them famous. I am not trying to be mean but this is funny. :rotfl2:

Sounds like Kelly Ripa and family really, really love Disney... or she works there and no one knows it!

She kind of does work there because Disney owns the stations that her (20) shows are on.

She should take a nap.

I saw Regis Philbin and Wayne Brady at my December 2001 stay at AKL. In the late 70's, I saw Robert Shaw (Jaws) at River Country.

Did he find a shark and that is why they closed down River Country? :rotfl: :rotfl:

O.K. guys, you got me. I was just playing around. There are no such people. Just my weird sense of humor.

However, I have seen my share of famous people living in NYC, there are always sightings, but never in Disney. Oh well.

I was starting to get a little suspicious, but you are a devilishly good storyteller.
