George Bush, Jr was at a convention at the GF when we stayed there. He also had a room booked, but I don't know where it was. Think the president gets one of the turret suites? ;)

The question was famous, not infamous!!! :rotfl:

I saw a man who I thought was Howard Stern at AKL a year or two ago, but, in retrospect, I think it might have been Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca in the Star Wars films) because it was during Star Wars weekends. They do look kinda similar, though. :rotfl:

Wow! I had no idea the Contemporary was the big celeb hideout. I would love to see Travolta :flower:

Tom Stewart and Audrey West are a married couple who has been on the top of the billboard music chart for 8 years in a row. They are the only music act who sold more records then the Beatles, Elvis and Bruce combined.

People pay thousands of dollars to see them perform because their shows usually sell out before they even become public. They performed at Madison Square Garden last year for 15 nights. They kept on adding nights. Scalpers were selling the first 10 rows for $50,000 and people were paying.

They truly are awesome. If you ever get a chance to see them live you will not believe what you are seeing. Their stage show is so elaborate and they do so many different things with special effects you will truly not believe what you are seeing.

They have worked with the top magicians in the world to create their shows and you can tell. The act is a combination of music, magic and folklore that is reminicent of the old cadabra acts of the 60s and 70s. A truly unique perspective on the cambridge follie din show that was first performed in Tullile Square in lower manhattan.

For those that asked I hope this helps.

Hey,

I read the thread on page 1 or 2 here and I can agree to that. Since I am from Germany and I watched those episodes they taped at the Swan Hotel.

Actually it wasn´t the German version of American Idol which is called Deutschland sucht den Superstar at our country. It was basically the same but with an other name from an other channel here. Doesn´t really matter though.

Your quite right, they taped like 3 episodes at the Swan Hotel where they "trained" and "tested" the candidates.
Nobody really famous from Germany except the "boss" of the whole thing who is a pretty famous guy in the music industry here. In the last episode they met 2 persons from the backstreetboys (who looked like they ate too much if you ask me :earseek: ).
Maybe they will shoot an other episode there next year (if the series still exists then)

So :) Anyways German stars are in WDW too ;) keep an eye open for em if you know them :)

We saw Julie Andrews leaving BWI in Dec. 2001 and saw Gary Cole checking in at BC in Dec. 2003.

Weird... no hits on them on yahoo or google search engines nor amazon.com and no listing of them on the Billboard Music charts... these people must be totally esoteric! They are so magic that their internet presence disappeared! Also, no sign of them on ticketmaster.com. Do they go by some different name? How do they sell cd's, mail order?

I agree. It's kind of strange there is NOTHING on them anywhere... do you have a link to any of their music or names of their CD's? :confused3

When I was a kid in 1974, I saw the late Nipsey Russel! It was in the game room of the Contemporary. It was still exciting to me, even if I was only eight at the time! LOL

About 3 months ago, we saw Eric Estrada in the lobby of the Yacht Club. His teeth gave him away! :teeth: He must have been down here promoting one of his land deals!

Dolph Lundgren way back in the late 80s in Tomorrowland and President Reagan and Nancy at Epcot for the postponed inaugural parade in 1985 (I believe). Mickey Rooney at the Studios when they did "Star of the Day" or something like that when it first opened. :earboy2:

In line at the Boardwalk Bakery I was talking to the 2-year-old son of the guy in front of me. He talked about the baby and thumb-sucking and I told him I'd had a thumb-sucker, too, etc.

After he left the girl behind the counter asked me if I knew him and I said No, so she asked if I knew who he was, and I said no, and started thinking she was nuts. She then told me he was so-and-so, from some famous popular rock band. I thought, "that explains the hair," (he had really weird hair). I'd never heard of the band and she started naming all the songs, but it was lost on me. I thought she was going to hyperventilate.

By the time I got back to the room I'd forgotten his name and the name of the band.

But I know I met someone famous. :teeth:
