I'm looking for an after the season or clearance sale on a nice down comforter. Any ideas appreciated.

Try overstock.com, you may not know the brand when you purchase but their prices are great. I got a great king down comforter last summer, did not know the brand, I think it was 79.99, well when it came it was a Calvin Klein 350 thread count down, that was at Macy's for over 300.00! I shop on overstock frequently and have always been pleased, their shipping price can't be beat.

Since you live near me , I will tell you this. I bought a down alternative comforter from Linens n Things. It is their "store" brand, and I paid right at $50 (regular price not even onsale!). It sure did keep me warm this winter! And the best part, no fuzzy feathers coming out like the down comforter I bought from Overstock. So, unless you're absolutely set on down, you might want to look at this.

I bought mine at overstock.com that had 1000 tc. I have had it for 2 years now. I love it, I paid $100 for it. I know they are having a big sale on bedding stuff right now.
