Seeking Opinions from AP Holders

AP Holder who is 8 hours away - long weekends. I do 3-4 long weekends a year - usually 5 days total each trip. 4 days in the parks with a half day drive to arrive and a half day drive home.
Or I fly which I've done alot too.

My husband and kids don't enjoy Disney World as much as I do so they don't have AP's.

Something to consider if you will be driving. If you are interested in saving money so that you can come more often or stay longer. Staying offsite in a rental home or renting points from someone who owns at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. Both of these options are cheaper than staying on site, and give you a full kitchen, which saves on food if you wish to eat some meals in.

That is a good point, and we will definitely look into staying offsite. When going once or twice a year, I typically don't even consider offsite. But if we get the AP and go more often, we will stay offsite a good percentage of those times. I had not considered the Wyndham Bonnet Creek option. I will look into that.

It really is a lovely resort located between Carribean Beach Club and Typhoon Lagoon . It boasts multiple pools, hot tubs, slides and lazy rivers. Tubes are free and you are also allowed to bring your own. Units are from 1 to 4 bedrooms. There is a popular thread about it on the Orlando forum of the Disboards. We often go there during the height of summer for a resort only getaway when our Silver passes are blacked out.
