Seeking Donations for Charities

Lets help out here!

In case you haven't heard Kelli is hosting a BIG crop in her area with all profits go to a list of charities ( I will let her elaborate on this) I think we should help her out! Lets work together here-
I will volunteer to organize this -
Send what you can - scrapping items, disney related stuff, and $1 to me - I will put together a basket - or two - if we have enough stuff
and mail them all to Kelli ready to go!
All she has to do is have her auction!
I will also send her the extra money not used for shipping so she can
put it towards tha charities!
Just e-mail me and I will send you my addy then I will know to look
for your package!

First I would just like to thank Patty! Each and everyday I am totally amazed by the people on these boards. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Immediately Patty jump on board with me on this project. Thanks again Patty!

The crop that we will be hosting will be to raise money for our daughters favorite charities. This all started because each year we have a Relay For Life team in honor of our 5 year old daughter who lost her leg to cancer when she was 14 months old. This spring I was trying to think of a way to raise more money. I decided to host my first ever scrapbook crop. With the help of others, wonderful companies, and individuals all the proceeds went directly to the charities. We raised $1,600.00. We would love to raise $2,000 to divide between the charities. Because of illness with our two special needs daughters I am behind on working on it and had decided not to do it. After much hesitation on my part and tons of encouragement from family and friends we are going to try to pull it off within a month.

The crop will be held on September 20th. That's my birthday and I cannot think of a better way to celebrate than doing something special for my daughters that they cannot do on their own. Well except maybe taking the to Disney on my birthday. LOL!!!

The charities that the money will be divided between the following charities Mitochondrial Foundation, Aicardi Foundation, MDA, Make A Wish Foundation, Give Kids The World, Shriners, Camp Sunshine, Aflac Cancer Center, and Children's Health Care of Atlanta. We will not be including Relay For Life and American Cancer Society because we will continue to do that fundraiser separate in the spring.

I had someone contact me about sending a donation from their home business. It's called Homemade Gourmet. She is going to donated some of the products for us to auction or use as a door prize. She is also going to send catalogs and will donate a portion of any orders that are sent to her. So if any of you have business like that that you would like to promote and get some new customers for that would be great. I had never heard of Homemade Gourmet before.
