Our next trip is tentatively planned for late April/early May of 2005. Here's what I'd like to know.

1. What is everyone's opinion of that time?

2. How's the weather?

3. What kind of operating hours can I expect?

4. What's been your experience with crowds?

Thanks for your help! I'm looking forward to everyone's opinions and answers.

Hi meganandjoeysmommy! Late April and May are a wonderful time to visit. The weather is generally hot but not humid, dry for the most part with the occasional thunderstorm, which tends to pass quickly. Crowds are considered 'moderate' by Disney standards, meaning you can find queues for the 'biggies' around 20 minutes to 2 hours (avoid Memorial Day weekend for shorter queues).

I'm a huge fan of mid- late May. Park hours tend to be a bit shorter and MK generally has night time entertainment on weekends only, but it's a lovely time to visit, especially for the Flower and Garden show at Epcot.

Enjoy!

Hi - We've been there twice at that time of the year- The temps are nice (mid 80's), there was very little rain (on one trip there was a 15 min. downpour, on the other trip it rained for 3 hours one morning and was dry and sunny by 11am). Crowds are moderate I think...we always use fastpass and the longest non-FP wait we had was 45 minutes for Dumbo in the middle of the afternoon. I think when we were there MK was open until 8 pm most nights - i know they closed early a few times for grad nites and they stayed open until 9 a few times too. Epcot and AK hours never seem to change and MGM was open until 8 the day we were there.

We really enjoy it at that time of the year...we're trying Oct. this year for MNSSHP and are hoping for the same type of weather & crowds...from what I've heard Oct. & May are similar.

:)

DH & I visited over a weekend in late April and a weekend in late May. We had a wonderful spring day at the MK in April with no problems, and a day at Epcot for the Flower & Garden Show. A super weekend! For our weekend in late May, it was definately hotter by then. We had dinner at the Trails End Buff. at Fort Wilderness then boated over for an evening at the MK to catch the Wishes fireworks. Awesome! On Saturday we spent the day at Typhoon Lagoon which we felt was a better choice than spending the day roasting in one of the parks. That evening we went to the Wolfgang Puck Cafe for dinner and hung out at PI for a while. All in all both trips, late April and late May were great trips.

It's great. If you are going the week before Easter it will start getting busier as the weekend comes.

2. How's the weather?
The weather is awsome. Very nice.

3. What kind of operating hours can I expect?
The week before and after Easter, MK was open until Midnight, Epcot until 9, MGM til 10, and AK until 7

4. What's been your experience with crowds?
We were there the Monday before Easter and in the morning we walked right on to the rides, but around noon, we left and took a nap. Came back in the afternoon or around 5 to MK and it was great.

Thanks for your help! I'm looking forward to everyone's opinions and answers.
