Seeing The World for the 1st Time (again)-1st time PTR w/pics INPUT WELCOME

I loved the picture of Ron with his "pumpkins" It must've been cold that day :rotfl2:

WELCOME BACK!!!

I'm glad Mickey's package arrived!! Sounds like he just loved it! I'm so glad Mickey chose the right things to send to him!!! Now he's got lots of things to help you plan with that's for sure! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the update-our trip plans sound a lot alike!!! It'll all work out in the end...really it will! :goodvibes You will all have an amazing time and the 10 days will fly by!

Let me know if there's anything that I can do to help with Leon. Thankfully they looked into the possible heart problems before putting him on meds. Do you have "file of life" things there??
[/QUOTE]

Leon keeps asking to go to the mailbox incase Mickey sent anything else.;)
To bad our trips aren't identical...then we could meet up
I've never heard of files of life.

Okay next post will be an update

I had another busy weekend. Friday Leon stayed home from school, He had a 102 degree fever for the second day in a row. We went to the Dr. and they said it was a virus and there was nothing we could do about it. I hate takeing him out of school pre-disney since he is going to be out for 5 days when we go. But his health comes first! Saturday I had a garage sale to sell what didn't go at the consignment sale. I made another $127 for Disney. Ane I just got paid $600 for this months baby-sitting. Sunday I had planned to deposit $750 into the bank (mine is open on Sundays) but I never made it there. My sister was feeling very down over her boyfriends lack of family participation. She often feels like a single parent. She came over in near tears because he always works overtime, and when he IS home (they live together) he either wants to ride his motorcycle, his 'vette, or watch a game. She really wanted to go pumpkin picking as a family and get some cute pictures of the baby. So I told her we could still pumpkin picking as a family. so she, Kiera, and I went, here are the pictures I took:

After that we went grocery shopping. I was beat by the time I got home. I got a phone call from the grocery store saying they found my wallet. i didn't even know it was missing. As I hung up the phone I realized that I never did go to the bank and I had $750 in my wallet:scared1: . I was so upset... There was no way that it was still going to be there. Well.... I was wrong it was all there. I wanted to give the guy a reward, I was just so happy that it was still all there. He refused, but I got his name and I am going to send him something. I guess my luck is changing.

Alright now time for a Disney Update

Sat. Nov. 29 – DAY 3

Since we are having a late brunch at Chef Mickey’s reserved for 11:20am, I plan to have a light breakfast in the room. I figure I'll spend the morning organizing our stuff in the room and finish decorating our window and door. I will keep Leon busy by giving him some Mr. Potato Heads to decorate for the window.
10:30am- Hop the bus to ????? and then take the monorail to CM. I don’t know where I would have to go to catch the monorail but I figure I’ll find out when I get there. Does it go to the TTC? I want to get Leon up front with the driver. (option 2 is take Joels advice and keep the car an extra day, and drop it off on the way to CM's)
11:20am- Brunch with Mickey!!!! I can’t wait to see Leon’s face. I am hoping that if we get there earlier than that, we can get a seating right away. Hopefully he will get some star treatment. I won’t be ordering a cake here, I want to save that for his actual b’day which is the next day.
12:30pm – or there abouts, we will head over to AK. This AK day will be dedicated to seeing as many shows as possible and squeezing in a few rides.
3:45pm. See the Jingle Jungle Parade. AK will be open till 8pm this night so I hope to get most of the shows out of the way. Have a cheap early dinner either at Pizzafari or PetriFries
8pm – or earlier. Take bus back to POP grab a snack and a swim and put Leon to bed. Once he has safely passed out, the B’day Fairy comes and decorates the room for Leon while he sleeps. So SHHHHH!! She will put up streamers and a Birthday Banner that we use every year that says Happy Birthday Leon, along with plenty of balloons scattered all around the room. Along with a personalized invitation to MVMCP signed by Mickey and left by Tink. Tink will also leave Leon's Birthday Gift from Mickey. Originally I was going to set it up so Leon would find it after we come back from a park, but there will be a T-shirt in there that I want him to wear that day, so he will wake up to it .I am still deciding on this, as tomorrow is sloted to be an early day so we well see. After the fairies finish doing their thing, it's off to bed for me.

All right gotta go Leon has a half day today, he'll be getting off the bus soon.

What a great update! I guess Mickey needs to get on it and keep the post office busy mailing some more packages! :rotfl:

I just finished putting my photopass pictures up so you'll have to come check them out! :goodvibes

I love the pictures you took over the weekend!!! Hope Leon's feeling better today!

I just cannot believe that your trip is so close!!! It's so very exciting!

Thank the Lord for honest people! I'm so glad you got your wallet back. I hope that you've gone to the bank by now. ;)
Your plans look great to me. I'm a planner, but not that planned. Does it help Leon to have structure like that? I know that it helps a lot of people. My oldest DD17 likes to have a plan, and if we detour from that plan she freaks out. I try to tell her not to count on anything, but she plans things in her mind before they come to fruition and then gets angry when things don't go her way. :headache: Drives me crazy!
Sorry your sisters BF is an a**. I wouldn't count on him to change. It sounds like he doens't know what being a family means. I hope your sister can do what it takes to change things for her sake and the baby's. I would hate to see her waste her time with him. I know he's the father, but you know what I mean. It's just unfortunate.

Speaking of honest people :rotfl2: I love you Lisa! :goodvibes

You better have made it to the bank Jill....

I'm just like your daughter Lisa...regardless of what's on paper, I still have a plan in my head and get frustrated when things don't go like they're "supposed" to! :rolleyes1

Oh My!!! 36 days till Disney. How the heck did that happen. EEEEEK I have so much to do! I really wanted to do T-shirts. I have to get on that. Oh oh it's happening, it's here, panic is setting in. :scared1: :scared1:

AMEN to that. I wasn't always this planned. I always planned things out ahead. I usually try to have everything taken care of far in advance because with Fibro you never know when a flare up is going to hit.
But now I plan even more so because of Leon. He NEEDS to know what is coming next. It helps him transition into the next activity. I always preface everything with "if we can get to it". This way he is alsoi prepared for some things changing. He needs to know the exact details all the time.
Today he had a rough day at school because he left his penquin (webkinz) on the school bus. He got it back but told the teacher he really missed his mommy and wanted to call me. This is not usually allowed but because of the medication he seems a bit more sensitive so she made an exception saying that everyone only gets one call from school and was he sure he really wanted to use it now or save it for another time. He asked one call ever? She said thats it one call for the whole school year. He then asked does that mean I get to make another call in 2nd grade or do I have to wait until I go to middle school? He felt better after she said you will be able to call again in 2nd grade. He has to have everything laid out for him.

You better have made it to the bank Jill....
Ummmmm...... not yet. But I did take the cash out of my wallet.

I'm glad he got his Webkinz back. I TOTALLY know how that is. My DD9 left her new one at her aunts house in Sept. Her aunt lives in WI. We were supposed to have a visit by said aunt next week, but I think plans are changing because I will be out of town all day Sat, so it doesn't seem worth it to come all that way for me to be gone. They were planning on leaving Sat afternoon and the competition is an hour east. Anyway, she won't be getting the thing back next weekend.
Don't panic yet! You still have a WHOLE month to get done what you need to. :cheer2: A lot can happen in a month.
Funny about what Leon said about a phone call in 2nd grade. :rotfl: The teacher made it sound like he was in jail making his ONE phone call. But, maybe for Leon, it has to be that way or he'll want to call a lot more.
Happy Thursday! Only one more day till Friday :woohoo: :woohoo:

Ok deep breath. List your shirt sizes and we'll all make a set! :thumbsup2

Nothing wrong with a plan! :rolleyes1

Ummmmm...... not yet. But I did take the cash out of my wallet.

Jill's "To Do" today....go to the BANK!:goodvibes

We aren't into the Webkinz thing at our house so I can only imagine. How dare you leave when you have people coming to visit! :rotfl:

I know the phone call is too cute! What a great teacher!:goodvibes

After I watched "The Lion King" the other night, I got psyched for AK ...:simba: ... and the DW agreed that the first thing we'll see there will be "Festival of the Lion King"!! It kinda sets the tone and gets you in the groove for the whole park ...

Save Kali River Rapids for just before you leave - you may not need to go swimming at POP afterwards ... :lmao:

We went pumpkin (and apple) pickin' this past weekend, too ... but the DW forgot to put the memory card back in her camera!! :confused3 :rotfl2: ... missed out on some great pictures ... :rolleyes1

We're only a week behind you ...

Hey! I'm sure you're all busy getting ready for Halloween and everything! Just wanted to stop in and say hi and Happy Halloween! :goodvibes

Oh my! I would cry if I did that. Not having a camera is like not having an arm or a heart for me. When Ron and I went to WDW back in 2001 my camera stopped working after being at Discovery Cove for a few hours. I was sooo distraught! It was our first or second day of vacation. I had to find a best buty to buy a new camera before I did anything else!
Turns out my camera was exposed to too much moisture and was working fine within a week.

Funny about what Leon said about a phone call in 2nd grade. :rotfl: The teacher made it sound like he was in jail making his ONE phone call. But, maybe for Leon, it has to be that way or he'll want to call a lot more.

I hope DD got her webkinz back!
I've been working on Leon bringing only ONE stuffed animal to WDW. It's a work in progress. He picked out 11 must haves! ...and that is down from 23.

Hey! I'm sure you're all busy getting ready for Halloween and everything! Just wanted to stop in and say hi and Happy Halloween! :goodvibes

Halloween was BUSY. It's been a good weekend.
Thursday was clean up and set up for Halloween. Friday I ran errands while Leon was in school and Ron watched Kiera (niece). He took the day off to Trick or Treat with us. We all wore costumes - I'll post pictures later. I of course found time to go to the grand opening of the new Dollar Tree up the road from me:banana: . I wanted to pick up 2 or 3 things and ended up spending $56 :scared1:. But I got great stuff! I can't say what because most of it was stuff I picked up for Mickey to send to Corbin and Carter. So umm Lynn, stay away from the Dollar Tree ...please;) . After school all my friends came from nieghboring towns to Trick or Treat with us. We were 13 kids and 7 adults strong. We had a blst and ended the night with pizza and dessert. Yesterday we took Leon to a Kick or Treat Party at Karate and then we came home for Lunch. After lunch we went to the Boys and Girls club Halloween Party. Leon had a blast but I started to worry about him. He kept grabbing his back in pain. He fell of the monkey bars the day before at school and fell on his back and said he could not get any words out. Sounds like he had the wind knocked out of him. But he was fine trick or treating and at karate??? :confused3 After that we went to the mall. I got some really great buys AND I did really well at the Disney Store. They had a bunch of stuff that was 75% off PLUS I finally bought my 3rd AP :woohoo: with which I got a coupon for 15% off my entire purchase. :dance3: Leon was VERY VERY tired which equals MOODY & WHINEY! But we survived and vowed to have a better day today. This morning Leon was bright eyed and bushy tailed at 6am (time change) but we were not. Usually we will tell Leon to watch TV till we get up and within 1/2 an hour to an hour we will get up. Today we did not wake up for another 2 hours. When I finally wiped the sleep outy of my eyes I looked at the clock and thought Oh Crap Leon has been up without supervision for over two hours:scared1: . I found him in the livingroom watching TV, his face covered in chocolate. This was our conversation.
Me: Good Morning Leon
Him: Morning
Me: Did you have a good morning so far?
Him: Mmm Hmm
Me: Whatchya been doin?
Him: Just watching Tv
Me: Yeah, arn't you hungry?
Him: No
Me: Oh, what have you been eating
Him: Nothing
Me: Please don't lie to me
Him: Okay, well I had alot alot of candy
Me: How many?
Him: I don't know
Me: Get me the wrappers
Him: I can't
Me: Why not?
Him: They are hiding under the couch.
:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

So all in all it's been a nice weekend....
Now to clean it all up. I haven't done much "planning" for our trip, but my clean up is all part of getting ready for WDW. And I spent this past week trying to recreate the designs I had already made for us and lost. Yup, it's official I cant get my files back. They were corrupted and beyond saving. So I've lost everything :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: So while I can't get the last few years of photos back, I can atleast trty to re make some of the designs I wanted for our trip. I've got 26 days left and still so much to do. I plan on taking time to night to make an updated list and then share it. But right now I must pack up Halloween and get ready for Leon's Bdays (yes that is plural, but I will go into that later)

Hope y'all had a Happy Halloween!!!!

WOW Jill. You had a busy weekend!!! Trick or treating up here was great. The weather was fantastic. I can't believe how warm it was. We didn't have to wear jackets and it was still pleasant when it got dark.
We spent all day yesterday at a cheerleading competition. We left at 6:15 a.m. and didn't get home until 10:30 p.m. It was a very long day, but it is so neat to watch those teams. They do amazing things. Our team did SO good. They had their best performance ever!!!
Not much Disney planning on my part. I still have quite a while, but I'm sure it will get here before I know it. All I've done is booked the room.
Have fun cleaning up Halloween. I never did get any of mine put out. The Sat I wanted my DH and DS to get them out of the attic, they ended up working on the car. So, then by the time they could take it down, there was only a week left and didn't think it would be worth it.
I'm sorry to hear about your pictures and files being lost. That really stinks. I hope you're able to recreate your designs.
:rotfl: :rotfl: That Leon chocolate thing was hilarious!!! Like he didn't think you could see all the chocolate on his face.:rotfl: :rotfl: Kids are so funny.
Have a great night!

Sounds like you're doing great! I'm so happy to hear that!

I just have to say :lmao: :rotfl2: about Leon and the candy! Can't say that I wouldn't do the same thing! :rolleyes1

Good luck making your DISigns...let me know what I can do to help. Are you getting excited???? I'm getting excited for you guys!!! PLEASE take lots of pictures and share them with us when you get back!! I cannot wait to see them.

Hope all's going well!! Cannot wait for your trip!! I'm so excited for you guys-I just know it's going to be AMAZING!!!!! Get those camera batteries charging and stock up on the memory cards!:goodvibes

Hey! I'm on your PTR more than I'm on my own these days!! Life's busy here so I'm sure it's super busy for you!!! Can't wait to hear all about it!!!

EeeeeeK!!!
NINE DAYS TIL DISNEY!!!!!
I am not ready yet.
I have been so busy with Halloween and getting my Christmas shopping done before we leave (because -sniff,sniff - I wont be here for Black Friday):lmao:
Leon has had 3, yes 3 birthday parties in the last week and a half. And yes they were all for him. I have no pictures... ask me why.... go ahead ask why.
My camera, it's gone, disappeared, poof!!! uh-huh and with only 9 days till Disney. I want to buy one before we go but don't think I can. Worse case, if I don't find it I can borrow one. Anyway we celebrated Leon's birthday early to throw him off. He no longer thinks we are going for his birthday he only knows we will be in WDW in December. So I plan to wake him up on Thanksgiving morning and say Surprise! We are going to Disney TODAY!!!
It will be 4:30am so i don't know what kinda reaction we'll get, but we will see.;)
Okay so this is what my next few days look like;
Tomorrow - Tuesday Nov 18- As chair person for PTA Picture Day i have to go to Leon's school with 2 babies in tow to sort through class photos to be distributed to the teachers so they can get them out to each student before the end of the day. Then meet with the principle regarding staff picture approvals. Then rush home to feed tired hungry babies and hope they nap! Then contact the photography studio to let them know how many classroom retakes we have to do next monday. Then get ready for Leon to get home. And then take him to a doctor appt followed by scouts where I will meet up with Ron who will wait for Leon to finish and I head to the PTA meeting. Where I will tell them that I do not plan to chair this committee next year so please find someone else.

Wed 11/19 - Watch the 2 babies again while trying to organize stuff for Disney.

Thurs 11/20- I only have Kiera this day ...and Leon has a half day at school. The baby and I will pick him up and go to Target to get portraits taken ... My Christmas gift to my mom and my sister - neither know about it. Rush home before my sis get's off work and then take Leon to Karate. We get home by 6:45 and that gives me 15 min to bathe and feed him and stuff him in bed before friends come for game night.

Fri 11/21- I will pack as much as I can today while Leon is at school. After school the 2 of us meet up with my mom for dinner and then go to see Disney on Ice. Not only did my mom by Leon a DS for his birthday but also tickets to the show. :yay:

Sat & Sun 11/22-23- Hope my mom agrees to have Leon sleep over while I get the house ready and pack. And if I can convince him, have Ron put up the Christmas lights so that when we get home they will magically be on as we drive into the driveway.

Mon 11/24 -Spend the day at Leon's school supervising picture retake day. When he comes home take him to Karate.

Tue & Wed 11/25-26- watch the 2 babies and repack my bags several times. throwing in a Mani/pedi sowhere in the mix.

Thursday - Thanksgiving - "Surprise We Are Going to Disney Today Day"- Whoooo Hoooo!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Okay so that's my crazy shedule for the next 9 days

And then the fun begins...
I have made some changes... I took Joel's advice and booked the car rental for an extra day. This way on Day 2 we can check out of the first hotel and check in to the POP and still get to MK rope drop with out worring about returning the car. I still can't believe I will not partake in Black Friday - hmmm do you think anything will be on sale at DTD for Black Friday???
Everything else remains the same for Day 1 and Day 2 of our trip.
Sat. Nov.

10:30am- Bring the car back to Alamo at the Disney Car Care Center and then hope on the Monorail ( Hopefully get Leon up front!)
Have a cheap early dinner either at Pizzafari or
PetriFries
8pm – or earlier. Take bus back to POP grab a snack and a swim and put Leon to bed. Once he has safely passed out, the B’day Fairy comes and decorates the room for Leon while he sleeps. So SHHHHH!! She will put up streamers and a Birthday Banner that we use every year that says Happy Birthday Leon, along with plenty of balloons scattered all around the room. Along with a personalized invitation to MVMCP signed by Mickey and left by Tink. Tink will also leave Leon's Birthday Gift from Mickey. Originally I was going to set it up so Leon would find it after we come back from a park, but there will be a T-shirt in there that I want him to wear that day, so he will wake up to it. Once I finish helping Tink and the B’day fairy set up then it's off to bed for me.

Sun. Nov. 30 –Leon’s 6th Birthday!- DAY 4

Today is going to be a VERY early morning!
6am - Wake up! Video tape Leon’s reaction to the room and presents. Let him play with his new things while Ron and I get ready.
7am – Hop on the bus to AK for our ADR at Tusker House
8am – Have a Birthday Breakfast with Donald! Yea, I love Donald! I also can’t wait to try the mysterious Jungle Juice that Lynn recommended so much
9am – hit the safari and anything else we missed on the day before
12pm – Head back to POP for lunch, swimming, and nap!!
4:30pm – Head to MK for MVMCP! We will have dinner here, probably at Cosmic Rays. I still have to look into getting a cake for this day. I don’t know if I want to order it to the room during our break or if I want to try for one in MK, if I can even do that at Cosmic Rays.
Midnight – I am hoping to close the place down, but it will depend on how Leon is doing.
I managed to find a jogging stroller at the consignment sale I did for only $25. I plan on bringing it for Leon (a lot cheaper than renting for the 10 days!). So hopefully he can fall asleep in it if need be. My only complaint about the jogging stroller is that the front wheel does not turn. Oh well, we'll manage.

......More later gotta get Leon off the bus and go to Karate.

Oh my GOSH girl!!! You are down to 9 days??? Whooty woot whoot!!!! Good thing you have a lot to do. I'd rather be busy than to be idle. At least you won't be thinking about it for 9 days. I'm so excited for you :dance3: :dance3:

Looking good!!

(... and you just reminded me: What did my wife do with our DD's class pictures? ...

I don't think you can get a b-day cake at a CS restaurant ... Have them deliver it to your hotel room?

We're down to 18 days -I'm waiting to go into "panic mode" ... :rotfl:

5 days left including today!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:
And still so much to do!!!!:scared1:
Yesterday I managed to get 25 t-shirts finished! I did have help though. I did the designs with lots of help from other designers clipart and pieces. I ordered the shirts from www.jiffyshirts.com , (between $2 and $4 each)-a recomendation from a fellow Disser. I ordered the transfers from AMYMICKEY (fellow Disser) at her website www.amymickey.com for $2 each and they are awesome!!!. And yesterday I printed them off and trimmed them down and took everything to the local Flea Market and paid the T-shirt making booth $2 per design to put them on with thier heat press (whoo hoo I solved my ironing allergy problem:cheer2:). So all in all I paid about $8-10 per t-shirt.:thumbsup2
I will post pictures soon (I found my camera!)
I do have a few more to make but I ran out of transfer paper so I may just buy them locally.

This weekend I will be packing and cleaning ...oh and lots of laundry:laundy:

Here is an update on our itinerary plans:

Mon. Dec. 1 - DAY 5

After all the Hullabaloo of Leon’s Bday, I plan to make today a more laid back morning.
Hopefully Leon will sleep in till 9 or 10 (but I doubt it). We will have breakfast in the room and just hang out until it’s time to go.
11am – Head out for Wilderness Lodge
11:55am – Have an early lunch at Whispering Canyon Café. Check out all the Christmas decorations.
2pm-ish – Take the boat to Epcot. I think I want to start in World Showcase, I can do some shopping, and eating (I have a list of must have foods to try around the world), and Leon can do Kidcot, meet the Santa’s around the world and shop Japan. It is something he is looking forward to. A friend of his told him they have Pokemon there. I really hope that’s true or he will be very disappointed. We will also squeeze in a few rides, but mostly I want today to be laid back and slow paced. Dinner will be counter service somewhere along the way, although I do plan on eating my way around the world throughout the day, so we may just skip dinner altogether and just keep snackin’.
We will leave when we tucker out.

Tue. Dec. 2 - DAY 6

6:30am- up and at em’, get up, have breakfast in the room, and get out the door
7:30am – I would like to get on a bus to Epcot for EMH this morning and get on Soarin’ ASAP. And then as much of Future World as we can get to before our afternoon break. I am however willing to be flexible. If we had too late of a night before or we get up too late for morning EMH it will be another MK day for us instead.
11:30am – go back to POP for a nap and lunch
2:30pm – head to MK for the rest of the night
7pm back to POP for an early night.

Wed. Dec. 3 - DAY 7

7am - Wake up, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Get ready for the day
8am – Go to HS
12pm – Head back to POP for Lunch and break
2:30pm – back to HS for Block Party
3:50pm – Hollywood and Vine for an early early Dinner (Fantasmic Pkg)
6:30pm – Fantasmic
7:30pm – Osborne Lights
8:30pm – Back to POP

Thur. Dec. 4 - DAY 8

7am - Wake up, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Get ready for the day
8am – Go to EPCOT
12pm – Lunch at Biergarten
1:30pm – If we did not get to see Illuminations on Day 5 then we will take an afternoon break and go back to POP to rest up for a late night tonight. If we did see it already we will just stay in the park till we tucker out.
3:30pm – head back to Epcot
9:30pm – watch Illuminations

Okay more tommorow......
