I have read that from some rooms at the Pop Century you can view Epcot's Illuminations. I can't seem to find a previous thread about this. We are going to Pop Century for the first time in December, so I'm not sure about what faces where. We are staying in the preferred section. I think that's the 60's building, but I have also heard that that has been changed. Can anyone tell me if there are any rooms in the preferred section that you can watch Illuminations from? Is there any specific room or section of rooms that maybe I should request? We wanted to be close to the food court and the buses, but if there's a way to "have my cake and eat it too", I would love to know how!

I did during my trip 9-11 to 9-15 ... I was at 3rd floor of the 70's bldg facing the lake... every nite I see fire works... it was awesome!!!
room 6377!!!

But also love the 80's bldg!! Oh heck I jus love POP period!

We were able to see the fireworks from right outside our room door. We were in the 50's section, we were in the building with the juke box. I believe it was building 2. We were in the section that faced the parking lot. I'm sorry, I just can't remember the room number. If you look at the map and the top of the bowling pin...follow that straight ahead and you will come to the end our room was in. We were on the top floor. You can see a fair amount of the fireworks, but of course a lot of them are lower and can't be seen through the trees. Not like being in the park, but not bad.

We stayed in the 60's area, Playdough building, room 4459. BEST ROOM EVER! It was a preferred room (back in 2005).. It's in the building right beside the main pool, but facing the lake. If you look on a map, we were the southern-most room.. It was very quiet (heard one family once) and you are close to everything! And, yes, you could totally see the Illuminations fireworks, as well as the lit-up Epcot "golfball".. :)
