I have booked the fantasmic dining package at HBD and was planning to go straight to see the Star Wars fireworks (especially after kids dragged me on ToT last year after fantasmic with seats with the worst view in the world and missed seeing the frozen fireworks. ) but I have just read and checked on touring plans that the star wars event starts 15 minutes after fantasmic.
I am so furious, why would they do this, we haven't got another night to go here!

They do it to try and split the crowd. I really do not think there is space for everyone at either event. I was at the older version of SW fireworks, in May, when Fantasmic let out, and saw the stampede of people trying to see both after Fantasmic let out, they came down Sunset Ave (is that right) towards us that were already in place waiting for those fireworks. It was actually a little nerve wracking. The CMs steered them down the street towards the exit side 1/2 of the street.

I almost wish they were even closer together. I am not a Studios Fantasmic fan, I like the DL one though.

Yeah, it's a safety issue. People would leave F! early and fast walk to grab a apt for the SW show.
Also like PatMcDuck said there's not enough space at center stage for everyone to watch the show properly

I'm presuming the fireworks are at the end so we would still have time to see these? Last year I remember my husband watching them from the FP+ area near ToT when they were frozen ones.

The Star Wars fireworks now aren't like the Star Wars ones they had earlier this year. I have yet to see them but I hear it's more of a projection show with fireworks included rather than a full on fireworks show.

right, and just to add. The fireworks now launch from outside the park and toward the right of the Chinese Theater. So only the very high fireworks can be seen from different points in the park. The new show is not a fireworks show and more like a "spectacular" that includes projections, lasers, fire and fireworks.

A lot of us are finding this frustrating. I just chalked it up to a loss, canceled my H&V F! package, and was planning on seeing the SWGS. Fortunately, we had friends just return and they said that it was totally worth it to miss F! So now I am just as excited to see something new

the show is awesome. Over on the SW thread we discuss best places to watch and all things Star Wars

I had a look on utube and looks great but kids want to see fantasmic. Ideally they want to do both but the only night we could see Star Wars would be one of the first nights and I think with jet lag they wouldn't manage to stay up!

I'm planning two seperate nights one for Fantasmic and one for Star Wars Spectacular. Particularly now there isn't any nighttime entertainment in Animal Kingdom this autumn

This is what we're doing too. Spending the day at Blizzard Beach but then heading over to DHS to watch Fantasmic since it does not appear that AK will have any nighttime shows while we're there. Things can change but for now we're planning based on what is currently published as our dates are less than a month away and AK has a closing time of only 15 mins after sunset.
