Good morning!
Is there any way to see Wishes from anywhere at VWL? I just know my 3 year old will not handle the crowds coupled with the later hour well. We are heading there in January!
Thank you!

I would try the beach area in front of the resort. We sat on the beach last year and were able to watch the wonderful 4th of July fireworks. :woohoo:

Thank you! I figured if they scare either of my kids at all, we can just easily head back to the room.

The only place to see Wishes from the WL are the upper rooms that face the MK. Even then, you'll only see the very high bursts.

Wishes has a lot of music and you hear the voices of the characters. Maybe that will help your kids be less scared.

Good luck!

We are going the first week of January and staying in a DVC villa. Our girls get really tired at night (especially the 3 year old) and never, ever sleep in. I am so afraid they will be wrecked!

When our kids were younger we found that some down-time in the villa during the mid-afternoon works well. We would put on a DVD of a favorite Disney movie and they'd relax on the couch for a while. Then we'd head back to the parks later in the afternoon/evening to see the fireworks.

I've seen some of the MK fireworks from the boat dock at WL.

You would if I am not mistaken either drive over to the Poly. or to TTA and Monorail to Poly and you can then see Wishes from the beach.

I've only read about this, but someone on another forum here suggested going to the CM's parking lot to the beach that's there. Supposedly, the path is lit and it's a great view. Maybe someone here can check it out.

The best that we've seen as far as fireworks from VWL, has been from the beach that's closest to the dock. We watched the electrical parade and Halloween party's fireworks one Friday this past September. It was very nice.

You can see some of the higher up ones but I always go over to POLY, you can see the whole thinsg and they even pipe in the music by the beach.

I think we will plan dinner at the Poly and then watch the fireworks there. Great idea! Thank you! We just don't like the crowds and our youngest is really intimidated by them. At that hour, she could be a mess. Resting during the day does not necessarily mean a good night. Our kids have never been great nappers or "resters". Our last trip out of 8 days, I think we only spent one entire day in the park and that meant from 9-7pm. We always came back to hotel by around 3pm. Disney is so exhausting, and I love the down time by the pool and around the resort.

If the weather is not good and you want to see them from inside you can go to the north wing 6th floor of WL about half way down and there are windows (which you have to open the shutters) where you can stand and see most of whishes.

You can see the higher fireworks at the dock.

Just returned from WLV and I had a bay facing room that I could see through the trees.

I was SHOCKED when I was out on my balcony when hallowishes started...and I could see a lot of the "high" fireworks over the lodge.

Another shocker on my balcony at BWV....looking at the YC...I could see wishes behind YC/BC.

We saw a lot of Wishes from the beach at WL - plus the water pagent as well at the same time. I much prefer the limited view from there than dealing with crowds and travel.

Unlike Illuminations - most of Wishes happens pretty high in the air - there were always fireworks we could see, and we saw most of the burst.....what we didn't get was the music, voices, and the castle.....

my suggestion take the boat over to CR.

go to the 4th floor and see wishes from the lounge - if this is too much for your 3 year old - and it might be.

then go to the first floor - visit the cr pool and just see wishes from it. (so bring her swimming suit)

plus some nights CR is having a movie.
