See-Thru packing bags

If you use this type of bag to pack your clothing in, I know it must be easier if your luggage gets picked for checking so the inspectors can "see".
Some people use the gallon size zip locs, but I'm interested in something really sturdy - like "space bags".
Does anyone know of a brand name or availability at stores like WalMart?

Target has "Space Bags" in their luggage department. I picked up a box of 3 which had 2 sized for carry-on luggage and a slightly larger one for regular luggage. Basically you just put your clothes in and then roll the air out of them to squish everything down - no vacuum needed. Hope that helps!!

I've been looking at these bags for ages. Do the clothes come out all wrinkled?

I don't think they get any more wrinkled than with regular packing....

I have used both the Space bags and the zip locks. Personally I found the Space bags a waste of money. The seals break down fairly fast. So now I just use the extra large zip locks.

I don't think our stuff came out any more wrinkled than just regular packing. We used it mainly for knit stuff since our shorts were pretty well compressed. If you used it for like a blouse or something then I would think it would get more wrinkled.

We use the large ziploc bags from Target to pack. I roll all of my sundresses, tops and shorts and then put them in the ziploc bag. Not only do they take up less space (I can get about 5 sundresses into each bag), they don't wrinkle very much. As soon as we arrive, I take the clothes out of the bags and hang them up. I have a small travel steamer that takes care of any wrinkles that remain.

If you pack in ziplocks do they not empty them while searching luggage?
