I've been ordering pins off of ebay for my upcoming trip. After reading older threads in this board I'm afriad that they might not be trade-worthy.

Am I correct in my reading that Sedesma pins are marked with encircled R's on the back of the pin? I'm not the type of person to cause a fuss and wouldn't fight with a CM unwilling to trade with me, so I would really appreciate any help on this matter you can offer me.

My boys traded for several Sedesma pins on our trip a couple of weeks ago. The CM's had them on their lanyards. It made me crazy, but their pins are theirs to trade!

but how do you tell if they're sedesma or not?

Sedesma pins are made of a lower quality metal than the pins you'll find in the parks. On the back along with the © Disney it will also say Sedesma.

We had no problem trading these at the parks. Though I made sure they were the first ones traded. I was a bit nervous too. But they all traded and I think I only got one or two looks but nothing was said to my girls. My youngest even traded a good pin for a cheapie one and told her to trade it before we went home just in case they make a new rule you can't trade them anymore. But we didn't have a single problem. Saw lots of those pins on CM lanyards. Don't worry!

When we were there in November, lots of CMs that I traded with had sedesma pins on their lanyards. :earsgirl:
