Security Update for Windows XP (KB925902) will not install

My computer says it has the update ready to go, but it fails to finish updating. Does anyone have any idea why? Would Norton have something to do with this?

The update was just released today. There may be some problem because so many people are trying to do the update at the same time. You should wait and try again later.

thanks for reminding me about update tuesday. I just d/L'ed and installed in less than a minute on our PC.

try killing anything in your system tray before updating.

When ever it tries to install, I get this error message:

SETUP CAN NOT COPY THE FILE WIN32K.SYS.

what does this mean?

It worked OK for me. Do you have a security program setting that prevents changes to your system files? I'm running XP and ie7

I am running XP. I have never had this problem before with updates

I am having difficulties with my computer at the office. IT guy says just keep trying.

I guess I will wait a day and keep my fingers crossed. The little icon just sits there saying it is ready to intall, teasing me.
