Does anyone know if Disney has made any statements in regards to the security of WDW. My School Board is discussing school trips and I would like to include this information so that they can make a rational decision on our upcoming trip. I have already given them information on the No Fly Zone imposed by the FAA but if you know of any information on the overall security of WDW please let know. Thanks.....

God bless all our troops, our leaders and all of you.

Do you mean besides the bag searches etc. at the parks?

My sister is down there right now. When I talk to her later today, I'll ask if anything different is going on now that the war has started. :(

Here's some stuff for ya...with URL's for them...I should add that the WDW resort has something between 600-1000 hidden cameras in use...a security force which has quadrupled since 9-11...and with the clear investment in the permanent structures for check points into the parks..as well as their own well being....the company is taking security very seriously.
I hope these help...and I hope those kids can have the pleasure of visit'in! :)

Here is the information about what guests may expect when they visit Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando:

We have stepped up security in all of our resorts in light of recent events, including increased security personnel throughout the resort. All guests are asked to allow their bags to be inspected prior to entering
our parks. This has caused minimal delays in entering our parks and most guests are appreciative of the added measures..

We have also taken a number of other measures which, for security reasons, we refrain from discussing.

If guests have additional questions, they may call 407-824-4321.

Goofyposter:

Thanks for the links. I was able to access the Disney "REPORT ON SAFETY" on the themepark.com link. I think that addresses Disney's commitment to the safety and security of all guests and their employees. Thanks again. I am going to provide this info to the Board later today.

If anyone has additional infomation, links to articles or anything else that relates to this subject please respond. The more information I have the better the chance that our team will be allowed to travel to WDW.
