My husband, daughter and I were at WDW in June 2021, using the new security process.
The line for strollers, wheelchairs and ECVs is well marked.
They ask one person to go with the wheelchair to push it to the area next to the scanners that the CM directs you to. If the person can propel their own wheelchair or is using an
ECV, they would go alone. If the person is able to walk thru the scanner, they are directed to walk thru the scanner.
Bags are carried thru the scanner. If you have more than one bag, it works best to have one in each hand/on each shoulder.
After you go thru the scanner, you can return to the wheelchair or ECV, which will be parked neat to the scanner.
See above.
For ambulatory guests, you will remove your bag from the scooter and carry it with you thru the scanner.
My daughter is not able to walk. The CMs had me remove her backpack from her wheelchair and carry it thru the scanner with me. The CM checked under her wheelchair to make sure nothing there and I pushed her wheelchair again after going thru the scanner.
