DYK that Test Track is the fastest ride in Disneyworld?

Just to clear this up, Rockin' Roller Coaster is the fastest Disney ride, with the launch going from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds.

Really, I didn't know that.

Did you know you don't drop 13 feet on ToT, but only 6?

Did you know that the plane used in the Casablanca scene in The Great Movie Ride is split in half and the back of that same plane is located on the Jungle Cruise

Sorry, but that's not true.
It's one of those Disney legends type things.

Did you know that in the Haunted Mansion, the ghosts are dancing backwards and it is atcually the women leading the men?

I did know about backwards but not about the other part! That's pretty awesome!

Did you know that both the dogs in Carousel of Progress and POTC are based on Walt's dog?

Just to clarify based on everything I've heard, Test Track is the fastest but RnR gets to top speed fastest.

i knew that :)

DYK that test track was supposed to go up to speeds of 95 mph but got changed because the outside angle would be too steep and guests would get uncomfortable at that angle if the ride stopped for a period of time?

oh and to clear things up with TT and RNRC TT goes 64 mph and RNRC goes 60 mph

you work at AMC? my mom works at the Home office, shes the director of Guest Services.

anways back to the topic

Yes, I did know that.

Did you know that on the second story windows on Main Street USA holds Imagineers names and others who have worked for Disney and that Walt Disney's name is the only name facing Cinderella's Castle and the first name you see when entering the park. His name is above the Ice Cream Parlor and on the Train Station Window saying Keepin' Dreams on Track.

Never knew that!
DYK that A basketball court can be found within the top of Matterhorn mountain at Disneyland? A
small, attic-like space near the top of the Matterhorn structure does indeed contain a basketball rim, backboard, and floor markings. (This cramped area is smaller in size than a regulation half-court, so the term "basketball court" is used rather loosely here.) This common piece of Disney lore has it that Disneyland's Matterhorn house a basketball court because at the time it was built, an Anaheim city ordinance prohibited the building of structures exceeding a certain height — with the single exception of sports facilities. In order to skirt this law, crafty ol' Walt Disney supposedly had a "basketball court" installed within the Matterhorn so that he could claim the structure to be a sports arena and thereby avoid the height restrictions. This legend is nothing more than a bit of fanciful fun: the Matterhorn was finished in 1959, but the city of Anaheim did not have regulations restricting the height of structures until the 1970s (and even if they had, they wouldn't have allowed Disney to get away with such a blatant violation of them based on semantic trickery).

My mom told me so, did some research and found out so on snopes!

i knew that :)

just to repeat myself since nobody answered mine (so act as if you sdidn't read it a page back and say if you knew it before i posted it a while back)

Ahh, i got confused reading that. :goodvibes

Well, there was no real plane in Casablanca. It was filmed shortly after Pearl Harbor, when there was still no filming allowed at airports. Therefore, the plane in that scene isn't a real plane.
