Here are my answers:
1. Tink is my favorite.
2. Our house is decorated with autumn colors (red, olive, gold). I have alot of black wrought iron...think tuscon style. We don't have a specific theme except for the kids bedrooms and DH's Corvette basement.
3. Our christmas decorations are kind of a hodge podge of collected items with home made kids stuff mixed in. We don't have a specific theme, but we usually do buy a few Hallmark ornaments each year.

Here are my answers

1. Who is your favorite Disney character? I would have to say Flounder. I do love Pooh bear also.
2. Do any of the rooms in your house have a theme? We just redid our room and I love it. it is the first time in my married life that I have a matching room. Sage green and it even matches my bedspread. that is really sad as I am married for almost 14 years. We are in the midst of redoing room by room so we haven't decided on any themes yet.
3. Do you decorate for Christmas with a specific theme? If not, what is your favorite Christmas theme (reindeer, candycanes, snowmen, angels, etc.)? We do decorate for the holidays, but not a particular theme. our tree mostly has hallmark ornaments and disney ones.

I hope this helps
Cindy

My answers:

1. Who is your favorite Disney character? Tinkerbelle, but Tigger is also popular in our house;)
2. Do any of the rooms in your house have a theme? My dining room is also themed as a scrap store:lmao: Living room is themed as a DVD store:headache: Late FIL was an antique dealer so we have bits of old stock scattered about:rolleyes1
3. Do you decorate for Christmas with a specific theme? If not, what is your favorite Christmas theme (reindeer, candycanes, snowmen, angels, etc.)? No specific theme, we don't do a huge amount of decoration as DH hates making marks on ceilings etc:headache: tree has a mixture of stuff accumulated over the years, including souvenirs of vacations (such as Disney:thumbsup2) and DS(9) loves anything to do with snowmen and penguins

And a couple in return:

Do you like cooking/baking?
What place/country have you always wanted to visit?

My answers to Mazda

Do youlike cooking/baking? I dont cook at all! DH does the cooking. Those cj's that came through that wanted recioes, those were hard!:rotfl:
Baking~ my son has told me he knows its time for the Holidays when I start baking! Love it!

Is there a country you've always wanted to visit?
I have a bucket list of places I want to visit and lately have been able to see some of them! In 2010 I get to go back to England, but also see Germany, France, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Finland!:yay:

My answers to Mazda's questions:

Do you like cooking/baking? Cooking I do because I have to, but I love to bake. Especially cookies. I go crazy baking cookies at Christmas. They aren't the prettiest cookies, but they sure taste good!

What place/country have you always wanted to visit? Oh, there are tons of places I'd love to visit. I want to go to Maine, California, Washington, Canada, and Australia. I've been to lots of European countries because my Dad was in the AirForce and we traveled a lot when he was stationed in Germany, but I'd love to go back to Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and England. My Mom is from England and I have family there, but I haven't been back there to visit in about 25 years.

I was going to answer these this morning, but my first package from my secret sister arrived yesterday afternoon. WOO HOO! I had a bit of a panic moment thinking I had messed up the dates and hadn't gotten mine out on time. :scared1: My sister must just be super organized and far more ahead of schedule than I am. I must tackle Halloween :wizard: and birthday this weekend before I can do my secret sister stuff.

1. Who is your favorite Disney character? Jiminy Cricket & the mouse
2. Do any of the rooms in your house have a theme? Not really
3. Do you decorate for Christmas with a specific theme? If not, what is your favorite Christmas theme (reindeer, candycanes, snowmen, angels, etc.)? Disney and, as my husband would say, the rest looks like Christmas threw-up in our house. There is Christmas stuff everywhere. It's the only holiday I decorate for, so I go a bit overboard.

I have had the question come up of return addresses on the first package- feel free to use mine- if you need it I would be happy to send it. I am sure you could use someone else's as well - just pm them about it.

Another option for the first package is to order products from one of the scrap sites that does secret sister packages- I know I used one last year- I will try and look for a couple later- if anyone knows of some than please post them here.

Rebecca

Answers to Mazdas questions.....
I cook and love to bake!
I would love to visit Asia - China, Japan - and Europe

I used A Cherry on Top last year for a secret sister package and they were great!

I had no idea that there were secret sisiter services out there!
I will have to check this out. How do you google for these?
I dont want to end up going to the wrong sites!

Best thing is to go with a site you already use (and have had good service with) and send them an e-mail asking if they can do this. I know ACOT and ScrapYourTrip do this service, not sure who else does - I used Amazon once but sent it to someone else to forward (and sent them the $$ for postage) as otherwise if I send stuff from here its a bit of a giveaway;)

I have gotten a secret sister package from Joann.com it was a couple of years ago but they may still do it.

Rebecca

I got an AMAZING package from my secret sister yesterday!! I was so surprised to get something so early. Everything inside was wrapped very festive and so pretty! I was THRILLED to get lots of scrapbooking goodies. Thank you, I love it all! She even sent something for my kids. How thoughtful. The girls were super excited...my 5 yr. old taped her name puzzle pieces on the front of her mini book and told me she's a "scrapper girl" now. So cute!

So thank you secret sister!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answering my own questions:

I love to cook and bake.

I'd love to go to America (again) Canada(again) and New Zealand

Here are answers:

1. Who is your favorite Disney character? Tink
2. Do any of the rooms in your house have a theme? My kitchen is blue delft and I collect the Pfaltzgraff Yorktowne pattern.
3. Do you decorate for Christmas with a specific theme? If not, what is your favorite Christmas theme (reindeer, candy canes, snowmen, angels, etc.)? I collect Nutcrackers and Santas

Do you like cooking/baking? Yep!

What place/country have you always wanted to visit? I’ve always wanted to see Mt. Kiliminjaro in Kenya. Hungary, China

OK, I thought I missed the 1st mailing date! Guess I'm good. I've got a couple of 50% Michaels coupons from the register burning a whole in my pocket! Gotta use them today!

Do you like cooking/baking? - Definitely. I'm a baking person more, but when I cook, it turns out better..... :rotfl: Quite a conundrum......

What place/country have you always wanted to visit? - Oh, I want to travel the world. I'd love to visit all 50 states... and the UK again... and I definitely want to go to Norway. Pretty much all of Europe.

And then throw in some islands for warmth. ;)

I was just lurking on the UK threads and they do a similar exchange, having just finished a Halloween and starting their Christmas exchanges.
They posted photos of the things everyone recieved.
Would anyone else be interested in posting their pics of their pressies as they are recieved? Now that I know how to do it, it will give me more practice.

If someone id fairly new to swapping and scrapping what type of things would you give them?
Please list your top 3 things you got, bought or wished you had and still dont have because its something you just havnt gotten around to getting.
I have a friend who is just starting out. And no stickers please. She's a preschool teacher.
I'm asking this here because it has to do with gifts!:santa:
Thanks!
Rita

Paper, a cutter, glue (dots or scrapbooker's tape/glue), and maybe a giftcard to a craft store so she can pick some things out for embellishments for her pages?

I got my first package on Saturday! It was filled with lots of Karate and Ballet stuff. Love it all and most of it I have never seen before.
Thanks Secret Sister!
S :)
