Lovely presents so far. I'm resisting until Christmas day as I know I only have 1 present to open this year & I chose it so not even a suprise!

I've told hubby I don't want anything as I want ALL the money to go on a shopping spree in spring when all the new stuff comes out. I say I'm going to do it every year and never do but this year my cousin is determined we go together so I know it will happen.

My dad recently had a hip operation so has only been back driving a couple of weeks so my parents are giving us all money this year. I'd seen a work bag I wanted in M& S so I got this for them to wrap up and then i'll be getting the rest as money - so that's my one present as for the rest of my family we just buy for the kids.

So as you can see I'm VERY EXCITED about my Secret Santa gift

Madinat Jumeirah is amazing. Personally I prefer Dar Al Masyaf at Madinat Jumeirah over Al Qasr. I was lucky enough to tour both when I was on duty travel to Dubai in April 2008. I just wish I could afford to stay there.

On another note, I came across a perfect example of the crazy post office service today.

We posted 3 cards to 2 people on sunday of last week (13th). Both of these people live at the same address (in the same house). All cards were placed into the same postbox, at the same time and were of course addressed to the same address - the only difference was the name on the cards...

The one card for the first person arrived at some point last week. The two cards for the second person didn't arrive until today.

How on earth is it possible for the name of the recipient to delay postage by several days

As we are off to my Mum's tomorrow for christmas and don't return until Boxing night I just opened my pressie

My secret santa has pulled out all the stops and I got lovely gifts....

A box of chocs from M&S, a box of Baileys truffles (I've had one already ) a Yankee candle and holder, a bottle of snowball, this is the bit I will share with DH and no doubt he will have this tonight (but don't tell anybody he luuurrrrvvveeessss it ). To top it all I got the nicest Disney Christmas Snowglobe

Then, the icing on the cake are the presents for my girls. They each got the cutest Minnie hats and Dairy Milk buttons. Eldest DD is a bit poorly, she tried on her hat and went back to bed, but she did say it was lovely
