The supply lists drive me I have to say that our district has gotten MUCH better with it over the last couple of years, but they used to ask for VERY specific things (Blue Mead 2 in plastic binder w/2 pockets) 2 days before school started. It was so frustrating, because at that point, who has the time to run to 6 stores because everything is picked over (and all the sales start right after 4th of July here too)

This year, the supply lists for Middle and high school were posted online in July, and Elem. in early Aug. Made it MUCH easier.

Kristi, as a mom, I know the frustrating stuff teachers do. I really try to look out for our parents as well as our students. Heather, that's great that your kids schools put the lists online. Brilliant!

Yeah...this is the first year they have done that, and it has been SO much easier! In the past, it has come out with letters of classroom placement, which didn't come until a week before school started, so made it tough to get everything in time (and forget about looking or a sale) As long as they don't each come home on the 1st day of school with a new, teacher-specific list, I will be thrilled!

Ours are online and sent home at the end of the school year and also resent at the welcome packet. If there is a specific thing a teacher wants they have to get it. I love our school for that.

I have a really lovely class this year, and I feel blessed. However, I found out my new partner is asking for a 2 month family leave for Oct. and Nov. I'm crossing my fingers that her sub is a good one.
Last night was back to school night, so I am beat. We're watching Secretariat, then I'm going to bed.

I did nothing yesterday, except for get the kids a couple more things for school. (My diva decided she needed a new outfit)

Hi, everyone! I spent the weekend mostly NOT getting online, and then the first couple days of the week were crazy, so again didn't have a chance to get here. Hope everyone had a great holiday. We spent Saturday afternoon at the beach, then went to the zoo on Sunday. Monday we got the laundry (icky kind) done and cleaned up the house, so that we would be starting the school/work week from a good place, and got caught up on some of our favorite tv shows that we were behind on watching.

That is just the way life goes. Laugh it off, no reason to sweat the small stuff.

Yep, no biggie...That's what Oxy Clean is for! Not the first time she has spilled something, certainly won't be the last!


Hope they come see you soon (and even more, I hope they tell you it is all healed!)
