Bad day part, DH tested Covid positive yesterday, and the constant cleaning and mess from me being in the living room is such a colossal PITA. Annoyed I do have a routine from years of Flu & DD having it in the fall, it is so exhausting. Not annoyed at the people, annoyed I am not a princess with forest friends helping me. I do not love sleeping on the fold out ottoman. I have a migraine from bad weather yesterday.

Bright side part, he is doing great on Plaxlovid, I have a space to escape to and so far I am negative & testing every 12 hours as a precaution for me. I am lucky we have these medicines, tests and my migraine medicine. Pushing to stay positive.

Twilight zone part, yesterday, before DH tested I woke up with a big bizarre bruise on my temple with what looked like a scratch through it that did not come from injury, my skin was and is completely unbroken. In touch with a Dr, just kind of watching and waiting, bloodwork is fine, did a bunch last week. Bruise faded over the course of the day and is nearly gone now. What the what is this? Weird right? Sort of suspect my body is in a steel cage match with the virus. Anyone know anything about weird bruising and the virus? Yesterday it scared me when I went to put on mascara and saw it. There is zero chance this was from injury, mostly because I would have noticed but also because an injury bruise wouldn't nearly vanish in 24 hrs:confused3

That is odd. Even a vascular symptom wouldn't disappear in 24 hours. If something bleeds out into the skin (such as petechia or a purpura) those things generally linger as long as a bruise might. You've got me stumped.

This probably doesn't help...but couldn't resist!! :rolleyes1

"...This is due to weakening blood vessels that are more prone to breakage even with slight injury to the area.1 Sex can also affect bruising as women tend to bruise more easily than men.2..."

Viruses can sometimes trigger the immune system to go a bit haywire and attack your platelets which will lead to bruising. I would shrug off one random bruise as a fluke, but if more start to pop up please contact your doctor.

It's my temple, so as amusing as I find the confidence this is not an explanation :rotfl2:

It is near where I get Botox shots for migraine, but that was 2 months ago so it would be peculiar, not that it isn't completely peculiar anyway.

Best of luck …I had it for a second time(in 5-months 😩) a month ago. I also took paxlovid and hard to say if it helped but either way I didn’t get particularly sick …still have some occasional coughing from the tickle in my throat but that’s about it

Oh sorry you still have coughing. I had hoped the medicine would prevent any long Covid stuff but really, who knows.... sigh.
