Okay, I apologize in advance if this has been posted before, but I haven't seen it yet! :smooth:

I read that there was a second entrance to Epcot, to the World Showcase, between the United Kingdom and France. The website I saw this on stated that it "caters to the Epcot resort hotels, but anyone may use it."

How do you get to that entrance? Where can I park, as I'll have my car and can drive there if necessary.

On my next trip, I have a mission to get to the World Showcase! Last trip, I had been looking forward to going there coz I've never been, and my son had a meltdown in FutureWorld, so we never made it!

So, I thought that we would go to World Showcase *first,* and *then* FutureWorld! This second entrance would make it much easier!

Thanks in advance!

You can get there from the Yacht/Beach Club and villas, Boardwalk and villas, Swan and Dolphin.

You would have to park at one of those places.

There is a lagoon that all of those hotels surround. From the end by the Beach Club is the walkway to EPCOT. From the Boardwalk you can walk to MGM.

You will simply need to walk through the resorts to get to the walkway and you will enter trough the International Gateway and be in the World Showcase.

I don't know if the resorts will give you a problem about parking there and I won't even go there.

Hope you make it to World Showcase next time!!!

The only place to park is at the Boardwalk. It's a little bit of a walk, but it's very pretty. And MUCH easier than fighting the sea of humanity that is making a mad dash for the exit after Illuminations.

That's a shame! It's a GORGEOUS area, and I love it, and I've no doubt you will too! :)

There's only one problem with your plan - after a long day of touring, you'll then have to trek back through the park to the back - unless you're going to see Illuminations.

I'd reccomend using the front entrance at Epcot, and just trekking to World Showcase first. So that after you've toured Future World, you can just head out the exit.

It'll be a long walk from the front of Future World to get back to your car.

I KNOW you don't mean to start anything, so in a very friendly, non-confrontational manner, may I just say that parking at the Yacht/Beach Club and the Swan/Dolphin is for guests of those hotels. There is parking at the Boardwalk for people who aren't staying at the Boardwalk Inn, but would like to see the Boardwalk.

Actually, I *just* read a suggestion on another website to see the WC on one day, and then go to Futureworld on another day. That sounds like something I might do, because you are right. . .seeing both parts of Epcot makes for a looooong day! Not a problem for me--the kids are a different story! hehe. .

That sounds like a good plan.

There's SO much detail, and so much to see, that you'll feel rushed with only a half of a day anyway.

Have a fantastic trip!!!!!

Doc, thanks for the great directions! As far as them allowing me to park there, well I figure all I can do is ask! :D

SnackyStacky,

You are correct. We own at the BCV and know what a pain it can be to park.

I was hoping not to inflame anyone with that statement and was hoping it would go by unnoticed, which is why I added that statement at the end.

Have a great one!

Now this is the cool thing about this board! There is *SO* much information out there, I'd *never* find this out until I went there, tried to park, got turned away, probably lost. . hehe. . .well, you know what I'm talkin' about!

Actually, I was considering changing my ressies to the Swan, just to save a little money! :D

The swan is a very nice hotel and I don't think you'd be disappointed staying there.

I also wanted to mention that the World Showcase does not open until 11:00 am. This won't stop you from using the International Gateway entrance, but I wanted you to be aware that if you get to the park at the 9:00 am opening, you will be directed to Future World.

The World Showcase in the evening is fantastic! and you get to top off your night with the Illuminations fireworks
