Anyone know what channel the SEC network(ESPN) will be in the Resorts???

Assuming Disney adds it to their lineup,I'm not sure-doesn't look like any "room" by the other ESPN Channels.

To be honest, I doubt it would be available in the rooms anytime soon. The Big 10 network has been around a few years, and I've never noticed it in the rooms. The SEC network (Channel 611 on DirecTV) is obviously more local at WDW than Big 10, but it's still one of those "niche" channels in the 600's on DirecTV, rather than in the 200's, like more major ESPN and other network channels.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's available in some of the resort bars, etc., though.

But since it just started 5 days ago, and there's not been a major SEC game of any kind in that time, I'm not sure anyone will have checked for it just yet.

I think the difference is Big 10 Network is not affiliated with ESPN like SEC Network,so I personally expect SEC Network to be on Resort TV soon if it is not already.:)

Bob Iger said the SEC Network launch was the largest in Cable TV history.:)

If they don't have it, I may have to rile up a SEC! SEC! SEC! chant in the lobby in protest next week. Miss State has their season opener the day after I arrive!

I'll keep everyone posted if no one else has confirmed by next weekend!

So far the big highlight (to me) of the SEC Network was their exhaustive coverage of the Kentucky basketball exhibition games in the Bahamas. It was interesting watching the Cats play the semi-pro teams (they went 5-1 during the week), plus all 200 of the Big Blue Nation down there to support them in what looked like a high school gym, built on Atlantis' property I think. :rotfl2:

I'm normally at WDW during our Fall Break, so if I can catch an SEC football game in the room while resting from the parks, that would be great. Normally UK gets its first or second SEC football drubbing of the season about that week. UK may be the doormat of the SEC lately, but at least I can tell people that if you go to an SEC football game in Lexington, you'll see a bunch of future NFL'ers kick our tails. :rotfl2:
