seaworld in the rain??

Does Seaworld close any attractions or shows due to rain? Obviously if it is lightning, but how about showers???

Just need to know if we should have a backup planned if it rains the day we are going and should then switch plans at the last minute??

I doubt any attractions close due to showers...you're right about lightning though. Most of the shows are either indoors or in a covered area so those should be good even in the rain.

If there is lightning within a certain radius of the park , they will shut down the shows as well.. Believe and Shamu Rocks are only semi-covered

I've actually had to be at the park in all day rain and it was still a good day. They even did the fireworks in the rain. They added several shows to give everyone something to do. Almost everything is under some sort of coverage and the park is pretty built up so you have a lot of spots to wait out the worst parts. They usually run the coasters still in the rain if there isn't lightning - it kinda stings though. Not 100% sure about Journey To Atlantis, but I would imagine it would be similar. If you do get lightning, it could be a problem for outside shows and the rides will be closed for sure. Its unlikely that you will have a lightning problem all day, so I wouldn't worry too much.

PS - its also very rare for Florida to have all day rain in the summer! Usually you will get a passing storm for an hour at the most in the afternoon.
