SeaWorld in December

We are planning on going to Seaworld in December after our Disney cruise. I have DD4 and DD2. Is one day enough? Any tips or suggestions?

You should have a great time in December. Not very crowded unless your going around Christmas time. If so, then it may take more than one day. If your going in early to mid December, you should be able to fit it all in one day. There will be Christmas themed shows, rides and attractions! You will even be able to meet Santa! Im sure your kids will have a great time and you will too!

Does Dec 17-18 count as mid-December? That's when we're scheduled to go, and I'm really hoping it's not too crowded.

I'm SO looking forward to the themed shows!

Yep. You should be good crowd wise! It actually starts getting busy that week. But you should be good. Also note that the Christmas themed shows take place at night and the day shows are not christmas themed and are totally different from night shows. So you may want to do some planning before your trip.

We're going those days, too. I'm glad you asked this question, because I was wondering about crowds too.

Just as with the WDW parks, you can have a wonderful day at SeaWorld, but you're not going to be able to do everything. You have to decide what your priorities are.

Decide which show you most want to see, if seeing a show is your priority, and then plan the rest of your day around that. If you want to ride one of the major attractions, either do that first OR do it during the day time Shamu show (which is the most heavily attended). Decide which animal exhibits you most want to see, and if feeding animals is a priority, check what time(s) feeding is an option.

We've been twice during December and the crowds are NOT bad, but the way the timing of the shows and animal feeding opportunities are set you just cannot do it all.

SeaWorld is a gem of a park, and you'll get the most out of it by setting your priorities ahead of time. Enjoy!

Since your children are young, I would like to mention that there are often more characters out around the holidays than usual.

Our DD loved meeting "Shamu" with his Santa hat on! :santa:
