Has anyone done the Halloween thing before? Do adults get to trick or treat as well or is this more for the kiddies? Is this a separate ticket event? Would like some info on this. I can't seem to find much on it. I just see it listed on their site and when I click the link nothing happens.

Trick-or-Treating is for the kids.....

That said, the park is frequently decorated in a Halloween theme--witches, skeletons, ghosts etc--but with a nautical twist.

My kids have gotten too old for the Trick-or-Treat thing, but, as an adult, I've loved the way the park gets decorated.

it's included with your admission. they give the adults trick or treat bags if you want them as well.

it's very kid-oriented, the park's not heavily themed for it. there are halloween and fall decorations and displays around the park, as well as characters. it's a nice bonus to your admission.

Unfortunately, SW's Halloween event is just not what it used to be. 2 years ago they had all the trick or treating and the extra characters in the park but also had a special nighttime Shamu show, The Spirit of Shamu. There was also a Halloween themed versions of Pet's Ahoy and the Sea Lion show. Last year they got rid of the Shamu show. This year I don't know if they will be doing any special shows at all. I just don't think it is really worth it anymore. If you are going to be at SW that day it is great but it just isn't something anymore worth going out of the way for. Yes, adults can trick or treat, too.

My DD and I did it last year and loved it. And, yes, they gave adults bags if they wanted them. It was nice that you didn't pay extra for it - we were actually surprised by it so it was a nice surprise. The only thing I didn't like was that some guests took it upon themselves to steal some of the halloween decorations. The special Clyde and Seamore show was really cute. As for Shamu, there was a new baby about that time last year so they didn't even have the regular show. I don't think they do it anymore but we also had a fun breakfast with the characters and they were all in costume. I'll post some photos when I get a chance.

Here are some 2006 photos:

The decorations in the front of the sign are the ones people stole:

SW does the Halloween events on the weekends. There is atleast one special Halloween show planned for this year with a new character (to SW). Trick or treating is not just for kids  I believe the walk around characters are coming back this year and the Seaworld characters will be in Halloween costumes as well.

My DD loves it as do her friends that go with us every year.
