We have been to WDW and Universal many, many times but for some reason never took the kids to Seaworld. We have 2 days before our cruise in August and thought we might go to Seaworld and Aquatica but was wondering if our kids (14,15) might be too old now? I would like an honest opinion as we will spend our money doing something else if it is more suitable for younger kids.

Why would you think sea world is for younger kids?

I think your teens would highly enjoy the thrill rides Sea World has to offer, especially Manta, the shows are also very to entertaining to guests of all ages!

We just took our 15-yr old niece and she LOVED it. Of course she also chose this as where she wanted to go. Manta, Kraken & Journey to Atlantis are as big and awesome as any amusement park ride and the shows are a lot of fun to watch too. Then there are the animal interactions like feeding the dolphins. You know your kids best but I would never say SeaWorld is not fun for teens.

I think there is plenty to do at Sea World but if the kids have an idea they would rather be somewhere else then it may not matter. Have them visit the website and make a plan and see what they think.

I suppose it depends on the teen, but we went last August and DS(14 at the time) enjoyed it. He loved the coasters (Manta was the favorite) but also enjoyed the shows. We spent 2 days there and he never complained; even took his sister on some of the Shamu's Happy Harbor rides for us. :) I will add that he likes theme parks in general (including Universal and Disney) and is pretty easy going as long as we keep him well fed. YMMV

ETA: If you decide against Sea World, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are great for that age.
