Seating question

My DS and I are leaving in about 24 hours for our first cruise.



I do have a question regarding the possible seating arrangements.

Being only the two of us, would they likely seat us with another family of two?

Not that it matters, I was just curious.

Except for when we asked to change our seating assignment after embarcation, we've always been seated with other couples. The typical setup would be 4 couples at a table.

Most likely you will be seated with others....DCL has tables for 4, 6, 8, 10, etc. So, you could be with one other couple at a smaller table or several parties at one bigger table.

I travelled once with just my aunt and although we did not request to dine by ourselves, we had a table for 4 to ourselves...so you never know!!

Last May, DH, DS(6 at the time), and I were seated with a very nice lady and her 4 yo DD. My DH was skeptical about the whole dining with another family prior to leaving, after dining with Pat & Leah (our tablemates) all negative feelings were forgotten about.

Our children were both from only-child families, they got along great. They looked forward to seeing each other at dinner, we went to the Golden Mickey's together so the kids could sit next to each other, and the kids wanted to make sure they went to to Oceanears Club if the 3-5 and 5-7 year old groups had an activity together. It was so sweet!

And as for the adults, there was not a silent moment at our table......we had great conversation. I can only hope that our next trip is just as memorable.

We are leaving in less than 24 hours about 20 to be exact. I was wondering about seating myself as we are a family of 4 and would like to meet other people. I hope we are not by ourselves. Hope to see you on the boat
