Seating at Fantasmic

How do they seat you at Fantasmic? I don't think Im doing the dinner package so I know we need to get there early. Can you choose your own seat- Dh HAS to sit in an aisle seat so will this be possible? Also where in MGM is Fantasmic? Is it near any particular restaurant.? Thanks!

The seating at Fantasmic is all bleacher type seating. When you arrive they will direct you to the section they are currently seating people in. As you make your way down the stairs into the section, you can go to any row that is available and sit at any point in the row. In my experience they did not make you move all the way down. So you could grab the end of the row so that your hubby is on the end.

The show is held in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater which is near Tower of Terror and the Beauty and the Beast show. It is not near any sit-down restaurant, but is across from some counter service locations. The nearest restaurant would be the Brown Derby. Of course MGM isn't that big so it's not real far to most of the restaurants.

If you're not doing the dinner package, you typically need to be there an hour to an hour and a half ahead to get a decent seat. It depends on the time of year, too. There are slower times when you can get away with 45 minutes ahead. If you go when there are two shows on one night, if you go to the later show you can be there as late as 15-30 minutes ahead and do just fine.

A lot of people grab something from a food stand (there are several on Sunset on the way down to the theater entrance -- the entrance is just past the Beauty & the Beast theater) and take it in with them. You can get a seat and eat your dinner while you wait. There used to be a pre-show, but now they just play Radio Disney music and inevitably somebody starts a wave.
