What happens if you call to make reservations at a reataurant and ask reserve it for 4 adults (but really there are only 2 adults) just to get the reservation. What happens when you get there to the restaurant and say I have 5pm reservations under Smith and they have you down for 4 people and really it's just 2. Do they say anything to you and do you still get seated?

I am only asking cuz I noticed lots of people that can't get reservations for 2 people are asking for 4 people just to get the reservation. :)

Humm... that's kind of interesting since I've had better luck getting seatings for just two people versus three or four. But that being said, there won't be any problem with getting a seating for four and showing up with just two. I would, however, pass by the restaurant beforehand and tell them theat it'll just be two people. We had to do this when we thought we'd be seven, then went to five, then went to two. Not a problem.

I don't understand why there would be problems getting reservations for two people. The smallest tables hold two so if you are making reservations for four you might be blocking a larger table for someone else. Last month people with more than two people in their party were being told there was no room without reservations, but with two people the restaurants were fine in taking them without reservations.

In the last 4 years, I've been on 3 trips with a party of 4 and 3 trips with a party of 2. It was much easier getting PS's with the parties of 2 than it was with the parties of 4.

Well, I am one of the people who booked for 3 when it is just DH and me. I had to do it a Le Cellier because they did not have any tables open for 2, but had any time available for 3. All of the other places were very easy and not a problem. I have read from several people that Le Cellier does not have a lot of tables for 2 (my first time here so I do not know firsthand). I really do not feel I am taking a table from a party of 4 since there were lots of availablilty for that size party. JMHO

We had the same problem on our last trip at Le Celliar. We made the PS at the front desk of the restaurant and I watched the CM put our party of 2 on a reservation made for 4. When we arrived for dinner they actually sat us at a table for 2 - something must have opened up. If we have trouble getting ADR for this trip I'm going to try for 4 instead of 2 and see what happens.

Hmmm...it sounds like this is a problem that is unique to Le Cellier. We've never been there, so I wasn't aware that this problem existed.

In that case, if I were making an ADR for Le Cellier for 2 and nothing was available, I'd make it for 3, or for 4 if nothing for 3 was available.

I don't think this is an issue at other WDW restaurants.
