Seating Allocation on Virgin

Hi there,

We have just booked our flights for next Mar/Apr 06 trip home to WDW. How can you book your seat numbers? Do we have to wait till a certain date or do we call?

Any Info welcome.

You can book your seat preferences on the Virgin Atlantic website about 11 months before you fly (I think it's 11 months!), go to 'Manage Your Flights' on the website.
If you have booked through Virgin Holidays it may take longer for your booking to filter through to Virgin Atlantic

How can you book your seat numbers?

I'm not trying to burst your bubble of excitement at having just booked your Virgin flights , but it's worth noting you can't book your seat numbers with Virgin - they are seating requests.

This is one of my pet peeves with Virgin as we seem to be very unlucky with our seating requests, and have almost always been disappointed at check-in to find we haven't got the seats we'd had confirmed as 'ours' (subject to operational changes) However, there are others who post here who have always been allocated the seats they've requested, so fingers crossed for you!

My negative experiences were all before the online requests system, so it may well be that this is a more sure-fire way of getting the seats you'd like.

Just to say we have been trying for a while now to access the 'manage your flight' and still can't we have our ref no. etc..
In the end we have given up trying and just rang.
Will probably change them when we do online checkin

If the site won't accept your booking reference it is because Virgin Holidays haven't transferred the booking to Virgin Atlantic. We had this problem but telephoned Virgin Atlantic who found our booking and gave us their reference number. They booked seats for us and we can now go into the site and edit these which we have done for March/April 06.
