I have just booked my seats on the new airbus, we are travelling in economy out and premium economy back.

We have booked row 48efg and back we are 26dfg.

does anyone think these are good seats? I know the planes are still new to us and I was just worried where we have gone for seats at the back of each section that there will be a wall or something behind our seats so that we can not recline properly. I was hoping we could stand up behind our seats so that we can stretch our legs a bit. Any advice would be great..
:cutie:

Are the new planes on seat guru yet?. (I think its seatguru.com but not sure).
If you aren't familar with this site it gives maps of the seats on the planes highlighting good/bad seats.

Are you copying me? we are on 48 out and 26 home. :rotfl2:
Although we are going out on the 747 and home on the A330.
Not seen any info on the new seats yet, waiting to find out myself.

Hi there, we have booked 48 DEFG there and back as well, just checked seatguru for these seats and says they are poor, don`t know what to do now. all it says it limited recline and proximity of lavatories may be bothersome, so I guess there must be a wall behind the seats, I work for airbus and have built the wings for these virgin A330`s but have never seen the interior, I`m hoping to get bumped up if there are any spare premium economy left by taking my work clock card, although I don`t expect anything, just hoping on the quiet.lol

I assume you mean on the old planes(747's)? I didn't know row 48 had DEFG, I thought the center seats missed row 47 & 48 due to the galley. We always get 48 H,J,K whenever available and never had row 48 next to us, just the galley.:confused3
SeatGuru says limited recline for ours, only been on 1 plane(no idea which it was) that had limited recline all rest have had normal recline but best thing is you can recline in peace knowing no-one is behind you. We also like being right next to the galley, help ourselves to whatever we want whevever we want.
Centre seats row 46 will have the galley behind so they could be limited recline, not sure.

Just seen you edited while I was posting. If you are on the A330 they are not on seat Guru yet(unless you have found them somewhere) I can only see the older A340's which have Upper class, these will be a totally different interior to the new A330's with only economy and Premium Economy.

I put in seatguru then chose virgin, the A340-300 is very similar to the 6 A330`s they`ve just purchased just slightly smaller having around 270 seats and only 2 engines instead of 4, row 48 is in a probably identical position with nothing behind it, no galley but toilets to the left and right, I can see this on manage my booking on virgins website

Just logged into mine to have a look, probably not the best place to be with toilets at both sides of you.

prolem I`ve got now is there are no more 4 in a row seats left on our flight out or return, I suppose you live and learn

You could get to check in early and see if they can change your seats.

great minds think alike, there is the option of the extra leg room seats as well, and as I said trying to get bumped for having actually built these virgin planes is my extreme long shot.

Not sure what to do now as I know going out our seats are near the loos but I was hoping that we could at least stand behind our seats and stand up. I now keep thinking of bad smells coming from them...

Arrrgggghhh what to do...

Just checked ours and we have got 44 & 45 going out (twos) and coming back I've got 56 D&E and 57 D&E - I'm hoping to change this though as there are no window seats or full rows of 4 left.
We are sat by the loo going out as I know the kids will be up and down like Yoyos as they will be so excited. Coming back I'm not fussed as I expect they will sleep as we don't fly till 7pm and it's through the night.

Nothing's confirmed anyway is it? They are just "requests"?

They are but in all the years I have only had 1 change from our original choice, we were slpit up to accommodate a family with young children.

we've ended up on those 'back row' seats too ... by the time virgin received our details from jetsave it was all they had left ... we're the very very back two on the way out ... not happy about that at all and will try and swap it on check in, and we're on the 46 HK on way home. We fly next week so I should be able to let you all know what they're like very soon ... for the first time in my life I think I'll be taking plane pics!!
