Season passes to seaworld busch gardens sesame place? Is this too good to be true?

I dont know if I am "allowed" to post that link here. Just go to Sesame Place dot com. The Grover Pass is on the lower right hand corner. You have to purchase before March 1st though!

We bought this 2 years ago at Sesame Place (we live 30 minutes from there).

We used it at Aquatica and Sea World in March. Sesame all summer. A week at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, in August. Back to Orlando to Sea World one more time and even made it to Busch Gardens Tampa for a day. It is so worth it. Especially since parking is included at all areas!!

It usually costs about $45 more, but is on sale until March. We got our use out if it that year. But since then we have stuck to Disney parks and just get the Big Bird pass for Sesame.

We plan to go go BG Williamsburg many times, probably more than a dozen. Then, we have a week in Orlando in October were we will go to Sea World, Aquatica and Busch Gardens Africa. Then we'll go to Christmas Town in BG Williamsburg before they expire! This is an amazing deal! :wizard:

I would so love to buy these, but we need to buy 7 day passes for WDW this year and simply can't afford both for our family of 5. But I will keep them in mind for next year!

Anyone else have a 2 y.o.? I think he only needs a pass for Sesame Place, and can get into all other parks free, correct?

We are planning to take DD to Sesame Place this summer. She'll only be 1 so she won't need a ticket, but I'm trying to decide what type of tickets to get for myself, my partner, & MIL. We'll likely only go the one time (staying overnight & going to the park 2 days) but do you think it would be worth it for one of us to get the Big Bird pass to save on parking? Can we still get the free parking & food/merch discounts if only one of us has this pass?

We have Busch Gardens (Williamsburg) Platinum passes...because they were even cheaper than the Sesame Place ones..and they run a true 2 years (24 months)

you aren't missing anything, it's just a good deal if you live close enough to get the passes.

You're only problem will be activating the passes before you get to Florida.
If you buy them at Sesame, you need to activate them at Sesame.
You can't bring the computer printout from sesame and activate them at seaworld or Busch Gardens, etc.

as far as I know, Sesame won't be open until April at the earliest.

We did not have to do this....I bought at Water Country USA (platinum pass), used first time at Sesame place....to the best of my knowledge, they were never activated at WC since I did the upgrade at the exit.

No, no picture needed! They have a bar code and our full names on them, and say you need a picture ID required. I am going to ask when I get to BG if I can trade them for ones with pictures so I don't have to bring the ID each time.

They no longer do the pictures. You'll have to have ID the first time, but after that they are tied to a reading of your index finger just like the multiple day disney tickets.

The normal pass is a two-day pass for $53. You don't have to use it consecutive days. However, parking is $15 per day.

With the current special, the Big Bird pass is ~$90. You will get free parking and 30% off food and merch discount. You will come out ahead if you did buy one Big Bird pass and then a regular park ticket for the rest of the party.

You have to purchase before March 1st to get the special pricing. It goes up to ~$120, and at that price, it probably won't be worth it.

I just bought mine!

When is someone going to use theirs and let us know what discounts apply at BG and SW.

Thanks!

Is this poster back home from their trip? I'm dying to hear what discounts were available with the pass.

What discounts are you looking to find out about? I am not the OP, but We got the Super Grover Pass and had them Fed Ex it to us, already activated. We used it at Sea World last week, free parking, discount for lunch and souveneirs pics, food for the dolphins, etc. We had intended to do Busch Gardens as well in Fla, but the weather didnt cooperate.
We will, however, use it in VA sometime over the summer at Busch Gardens and the water park to make it worth it. Any other questions, lmk if this pertains to what you were looking to find out.

I'm SO glad you posted this as I could have sworn that DD would need a pass this year! (She is also 1). I just called SP and explained, and her pass is being fully refunded! :cool1:

I haven't read all the responses, but I know someone mentioned that you should get at least one Big Bird pass and I agree that would be best...hope you did that during the sale! Have a great time...we love SP and think it is very clean and well run (we had season passes for two years when DS was younger). We got Super Grover passes this year as we'll be going to the Florida parks and hopefully make it down to Williamsburg as well.

Tell me about the discounts. How much on food? what restaurants? How did you know where you could use it?

Going in 1 week.

I just asked everywhere that I went, and was never told no, although I did not ask at the ice cream cart. It averaged out being 10 or 15 percent off, like the food for the dolphins would have been 28.00 for 4, but was 24, the photos I think it was more like 10 percent as well as the food. I wish I had paid closer attention to the exact amount, but, as I said the dolphin food was more than 10 percent off. It was a great day, I really enjoy that park. We ate at the Terrace Cafe which had hand carved turkey sandwiches, as well as ham, roast beef and beef stew in a bread bowl. They had fresh fruit and desserts such as puddings. It was good.

Does the Big Bird pass get you free parking anywhere besides Sesame?

Do we need to show id to use the pass at SW? My 4 yo and I have Big Bird passes. My mom who will be with us has nothing. Trying to figure out the least $$ Sea World admission for the three of us.

Thanks!

Only the highest end Sesame Place pass (Super Grover) has gotten us free parking at other pakrs.

Consider upgrading to Super Grover -- I don't know what specials they are running this year, but in the past, when I upgraded at the end of SP season I got great deals.

Too late to upgrade for this season and not sure we need SuperGrover for next year - will probably wait for it to go on sale again.
