Parade narratives are boring. There is no Orson Welles of parade narratives.

Regis and Kelly are the most annoying humans on earth. Glad they were gone. The parade is what the parade is and hosts don't matter much, but we were very glad to not have to listen to their annoying voices this year (as were the 85% or so of surveyed people who gave them negative reviews after last year).
