My girl scout troop (1st to 4th grade girls) had a sleepover inside Sea World on May 21st. We slept in the Wild Artic exhibit next to the Bulga whales.

It was such an amazing expereince for both the girls and the adults. We had 21 girls and 14 adults stay the night.

I know sea world does this for other groups as well as families. If you ever have an opportunity to do this I highly, highly reccomend it.

Hi Tinkerbelle's Mum,

This sounds like so much fun, how do you go about organising? :goodvibes

If you go on the Sea World Website - choose the one closest to you. For me it was San Diego. Then pick adventure camps. This will give you all the basic information on the different options. There are week long camps and overnights. For the overnights you can pick a scout or group option or a family option.

That will give you the basic run down on what happens.

Depending on the size of your group different dates will be available. Since we had such a large group (21 kids, 14 adults) we were able to pick our own date. For smaller groups they have preset dates for you to choose from. Sometimes these are listed on the website.

I would reccomend reserving your spot at six months from the date you want because they do fill up very fast. The night we went they were booked solid in every sleeping venue.

To secure your reservation you have to send in a $25 per person deposit. The overall cost of the night is $130-135 depending on your food choices.

Wow, this sounds great! So if you had 1st graders, that means this is open to Daisy scouts as well? I have a Daisy and I think they would LOVE this! Off to go check it out. Thanks!

We had first graders with us! I did request that the Daisy moms travel with us especially since a few of them have never spent the night away from home before.

We're doing this in August with cub scouts. All participants must be 5 years old.

I've taken several groups of 3-6 graders from Phoenix to this and it is fabulous. We have slept with the manatees, in the Wild Artic and they also have a dorm that we used last time. The activities are great and the kids have a ball. They slept more in the artic(nice and cold) than the manatee(much warmer). The dorms are nice too because you can take a shower :) I sure miss these! It is worth every penny.
