Sea World raises ticket prices, is Disney next?

Well, it depends on what you are buying. We're buying a bunch of expiring passes, and they're definitely less expensive than what we would have had to purchase if they didn't make the changes they made last year. We're saving quite a bit of money.

Actually, for me, last year's introduction of MYW was a very substantial price decrease!

It was for us, too. We paid a LOT less for 6-day hoppers this year than last. We did a mix of APs (with the DVC discount) and hoppers. Even with a Disney increase, we'll probably be coming out ahead of past years.

So with this increase in price how many of you are going to purchase your tickets early? I am thinking that I might as well bite the bullet and buy the 7 day non expiring hopper option since we plan on going back to Disney in 2007. We already have our tickets for 2006. Does anyone else do this? It's a big chunk of change to shell out for tickets expecially since it is so close to Christmas but I am almost afraid of how much the price will go up. Any thought?

I bought 10-day passes, to use over two trips, a WDW-heavy trip (6 days) and a WDW-light trip (4 days).

What will stop the increase in ticket prices is when people stop going to SW, Universal, or WDW.

We'll pass on SW. We'd already thought it was too steep after last year's increase - so they've lost our $$. We have enough trouble doing everything we want to get done at WDW.
