Has anyone gone to Sea World for New Year's Eve? If so, is it an additional ticket? Any idea of cost? Hotel Packages for one night? We are spending Jan 1-5 at Universal, but thought a family-friendly New Year's Eve party would be fun. Thank you!!

The actual New Years Eve celebration is included with park admission. That night is special because its the only night of the entire year that all three Shamu shows are performed. "One Ocean" which is the typical day show "Shamu Rocks" which is a show performed during special times of the year like New Years Eve. And "Shamu Christmas Miracles" which is the Shamu night show during the Christmas season. All the Christmas decor/rides and shows should still be available. All the Christmas activities are included with park admission as well. There will be two fireworks shows that night. The first will be Seaworld's usual fireworks show "Reflections" followed by the New Years fireworks at midnight. There are dance floors, DJ's, live entertainment and much more. Its a pretty enjoyable night.
Here is some info on Seaworld Hotel packages. Staying at a Seaworld hotel gives you special perks like "Quick Queue" which is an unlimited front of the line pass on rides. Which could be really helpful when crowds start to pick up that night. Another perk could be free all day dining. Here is the link for all the info....
Thanks for the information. It sounds like a fun night. I read on here that the quick queue passes could not be bought in advance, but I saw them on the Sea World site under "Don't Forget." Is this new or did I just misread the other posts? Also, do you think it is worth an extra $100 for New Year's Eve?? Thanks again for your thoughts.

I do think it is worth the extra money. Since it's a great family atmosphere. There is so much more to do especially with the extended park hours (The Park is open until 1:00am) which is the latest it is open all year. Also, it will be the least busy of all the Central Florida theme parks.
