I'm wondering if there is anyone to contact (phone or email) regarding food allergies at Sea World. DS has a milk allergy and also has other foods that he has to avoid (including white flour items). Between those things his food choices are somewhat limited. I feel very good about going to Disney with the allergies. In fact this is the first time going out to eat that I don't feel like a complete nervous wreck regarding the food (which is why we don't go out to eat very often).

SW is not like WDW when it comes to food allergies. I have not found them to be helpful at ALL when it comes to allergies. The counter service items are mass produced so cross contamination risk is very high. The workers at counter service places do not know the ingredients. We have not tried any sit down places-perhaps you could speak to a chef at one of those when you arrive.

In my opinion the food at SW is VERY limited to start with (even without allergies) and not that good. We bring our own food in.

If it helps at all, most of the counter service places offer a hot dog or chicken strips in the kids meals. They come with raisins or french fries. (In a shamu lunchbox) for 6.99 I think. I have asked what was in the chicken and no one seemed to know. I would think the hot dog buns would have white flour in them. But you could order it without a bun.

There is a place over near the Rock Climbing wall-Mama's Kitchen I think-they have "healthy" food maybe they would work for you-they seemed to have fewer processed items.

Enjoy your trip, My DD LOVES SW!

Thanks. That was what I was afraid of (them not being up to par so-to-speak on food allergies). I agree that the food is limited even to those who don't have food allergies or foods that have to be avoided.

While he would have no problem eating the chicken strips I'm thinking that they most likely have some form of milk in them (I didn't realize how many things had milk or milk products of some sort in them until he got officially diagnosed and we had to start paying very close attention). A lot of processed lunch meats have milk products in them so we have to avoid those as well. He'd eat a hot dog no problem but unless I can check the ingredients myself he doesn't eat it - same with lunch meats. He'd eat the bun but not with the hot dog (he'd eat it separately).

One of the problems is that he is 18 months old (he'll be 19 months when we are there). We will probably look at the place you suggested. I'd take something in but I don't know how early we are getting into Orlando and where the closest stores would be to where we are staying. But it might be something we consider. I had already planned to take his specific crackers and other things he liked to eat in with us in the diaper bag.

There is a new Whole Foods that just opened across I-4 from SW. It is on Turkey Lake Rd near a SuperWalmart.
