Sea Raycers on Crescent Lake?

We've been trying to budget out and do some time planning for our visit to the Beach Club in September. I rented the predecessor to the Sea Raycer over 25 years ago at the Polynesian, and it was a blast to drive the little speedboat across the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Now we're staying at the Beach Club in September for my boy's first visit, and I'm wondering exactly how far you're allowed to go in a Sea Raycer on Cresenct lake? Can you go down the waterways into Epcot (seems unlikely) or down to Hollywood Studios, or are you restricted to the Lake itself?

I've watched a few videos of the water taxis going from resorts to the International Gateway and Hollywood studios, and don't see any signage prohibiting the Sea Raycers, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Does anyone know for certain?

Not sure of the restrictions in that area. Last summer I rented one at POR, and could take it all the way to DTD. But the boats are set to travel slower than in Bay Lake & SSL. There's so much more to see over there. If you are able to do it, the personal water craft (jet ski) tour is WAAAAYYYY more fun.

I haven't rented at Cresent Lake, but have at Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon and it's a blast there. There's more room and exploring and the boats do go faster there.

If you rent at YC/BC you will be restricted, you can go toward the Studios but not sure how far, you can not go past the bridge to Epcot.

You will be told your area when you get your raycer and they have CMs in boats out there to enforce it. Anyone disobeys will be escorted back to the dock and will forfeit their time.

You can still go to one of the Sevens Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake resorts and rent there, you don't have to stay there.

Thanks for the information everyone! Based upon the advice about the restricted area and the slower speeds, we'll rent on one the days we're "touring" the hotels around the lagoon.

After all, there's no point renting a Sea Raycer if you can't go fast. I appreciate the advice about the Jet Ski, but it's pricier than I would like, and I think the little boat is a "classic" Disney experience that I'd like to share.
