I seen the lengthy thread on this and kinda skipped through it, but I still have questions. Is this only for Power Scrappers? I love to scrapbook, but don't get to do it very often and never really accomplish much at the crops I go to.....but I love to go. I've been to quite a few crops at my LSS and I went to a w/e retreat last spring with the girls. The w/e retreat was a fairly small one, maybe 15-20 girls...and I only made 6 lo in the 3 days I was there! But I had a blast! My friends thought I was nutz when I sent them the link, but I MAY be able to talk ONE of them into it (IF I can get us a room)! Anyhow, a few ? I have regarding this.....

1) Does it feel overwhelming with this BIG of a group? (I seen pics)
2) Does it get extremely LOUD? Or FEEL clausterphobic? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a HOME-BODY....and I got to WDW on the 4th of July, but I don't want to feel closed in!

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
It's anything but claustrophobic. I would think the opposite would be true....the huge room makes it seems cavernous with the high ceilings and row after row of tables.
I think the pace you work at would only matter to you. When I went two years ago, some people got a zillion lay-outs done while others were happy to chat, get massages, go to the parks, etc.
It really was a TON of fun!

I think you will be ok, it's crowded but not squished. They give everyone plenty of room and lots of space to walk through the tables. I'm sure if you went you could e-mail Nancy and ask for an outside row table.

Sometimes late at night it can get a little rowdy for a few minutes but everyone gets into a groove of scrapping and it's nice. There is music and you can hear the music over the people, and that was in the big room at the Yacht Club. We do tend to sing though if a good song comes on. LOL

As for pace, set your own. The first time I went was 2005, and I think I got 4 pages done in 2 days, mom and I hit the parks a lot. The second time I went in 2006 I got about 60+ pages done, DH went to take pics and I scrapped. I also was better prepared.

This time I am going with DIS'ers and my mom, who knows if I will get anything done! LOL

Awe you all are so sweet! Thanks! I'm really a little on the shy side, until you get to know me. So, I'm not sure if I could get up the nerve to come all the way down by myself. But, I will keep that in mind!
