SDV Orlando 2010, August 27 - 29

For a while there, it looked like I wouldn't be able to work out going -- but now I think I will be. Just waffling about lodging and dates for spending more time in the area.

Do any of the packages, or local day combos sell out? (How soon do I need to make up my mind?)

I won't be looking for a roomie (I'm not a very compatible roommate, snoring, etc.) and the breakfast at Ohana is way too early for me to get going in the morning (altho it does sound like a lot of fun).

I've never seen them sell out, not saying they can't but I haven't seen it yet. Especially in this economy, the room was pretty empty last year.
As for when to make up your mind, the final payment is due in early June. So if you book after that, you have to pay in full. Not sure how you budgeted. I made my deposit ($75) and will pay the rest along til June.

mecllap - Like Buffy said, I've never seen it sell out. The first year I went (2006) my friend and I booked the local/day just about two months before and had no problems.

I registered for the 2-day F/S local, but nothing came up about any payment; is that in the follow-up email?

Looking forward to seeing you all there and learning about going to a scrapbooking convention. Now to figure out how to add sb project(s) and tools to the new limitations on baggage allowances.

You should get an e-mail within 24-48 hours of registering to verify your registration, and then you have (I think) 10 days to pay your deposit. Great that you can come join us!
 

What time are you all leaving on Sunday the 29th? I apparently am going to be all alone in Disney World, with no ticket.. haha. Can I come hang out with you guys?

The flights haven't come out yet but we usually try to catch an early evening flight so we should be on site til at least 3, I think we left around 4 last year.

Hahah - that's okay! Thanks! 3/4 would be great! I'll probably just go back to Port Orleans after that, and get some dinner and crash, since I'll have to be up early the next morning.

Yay!! Made our reservations for Cnderella's Royal Table and Tony's for our MK day- before the crop. We're arriving Wednesday night- staying at BLT and then going to MK all day Thursday. Soooo excited to get the reservations!:cool1::cool1::cool1:
 
I'm all registered, reserved and paid for -- so will see you all Friday morning (not expecting to make the Ohana breakfast, tho). See y'all in August! (Well, and on here a lot -- guess I need to follow along with other plans).

Sounds great! We'll be there with ears on! That's our full last day all together at WDW before our cruise/leaving Z2H there for four months :eek:...can't think of a nicer way to start that day than than among friends!
