SDV August 21-24 2008 WE'RE HOME!!!

I am a morning park goer- midafternoon til dinner scrapper and then late shift scrapping again. DH is coming with me this year.... so I guess I'll play it by ear. He doesn't do well with the heat (so more scrapping for me!!!-- actually my goal is going to be making all my holiday cards thie trip!!!)

Watch this, I'll get hit with a case of insomnia and become a late night scrapper while you become an early bird. lol

I don't know what anyone else has planned for after our breakfast on Saturday, but I told DH that breakfast could take at least a couple of hours and that I will just catch up with him and the kids later in the day. My goal is to walk around Epcot, my favorite park, without the kids:).

I'm a late night scrapper, but I'm still an early bird. I don't sleep much at all, I'm afraid I'll miss some fun!

In 2006, I'd hit a park for opening, stay a couple of hours and go back and scrap. Then, I'd hit the parks after dinner and stay for the fireworks, then come back and scrap....next thing I know it would be 3am and I'd be all alone at my table. :rotfl2:

I do have big plans to walk over to Epcot and have one of those Grey Goose Vodka slushies....or two or three. :drinking1 Let's see how well I scrapbook after that!

That is exactly how I would like to do it. :thumbsup2

Rebecca, are you an early morning person, or a late night cropper? We have a mixture of both in our room. BAMB and Denni are late nighters, MomE, MomK, and I are more early morning people. I turn into a pumpkin after 9:00 pm. LOL

I am more of a morning person- I am generally awake by 5am at the latest. I tend to be ready to fall over by 11:30 pm. I thought I could definately crop early in the morning but was thinking about hitting a park for an hour in the morning if I wanted to do any big rides. I am spoiled and won't wait in lines. I figure if i am up and want to do it i might as well be at the park at opening.

oh shush! I know where you live, you'll get your shirt before you get on the plane. Maybe......:rolleyes1

I'm not sure Rebecca. I was thinking after the first Dinner wave maybe. Scrap all day, eat dinner then walk it off a the parks. We are going to try to utilize Evening EMH.

When are you coming up?

hmmmm, expression. Man I am tempted but I don't want you to haul it all the way there. The convention center is a decent walk from the hotel so we would have to make lists and do a bunch of cutting all at once. It might be more hassle then it's worth. But if you do decide to bring it let me know, I'll bring some mats and extra blades for you.

I wonder if we could use one of the break out rooms to do cutting and then just bring the machine back to the table?

I generally spend more time in the parks in the am but there should be a Friday night EMH at Epcot (I haven't checked but generally that is Friday night), Saturday they don't have night hours- early morning hours will probably be DHS but we will be at breakfast.

Bringing the expression isn't a big deal. I have room in the car and will have room in the room. If people want to use it I'll bring it. If we don't use it- oh well.

I will be arriving early Friday morning. I can't crop until 9am and will probably leave here bout 7am and get there just about 9am. I don't have plans to take a full time teaching job this fall and I won't take a sub job for that day so I don't have anything tying me here in the morning.

Oh where oh where are the classes?!?!

I've waited, I've been patient, but the suspense is driving me insane!! :lmao:

I have no idea Diana! there is no menu either. If I don't like the food I would like to have the time to make other reservations.

In 06 when I went last, I remember there being a Mexican night but I don't remember what the other night was. I don't eat Mexican food (I have all sorts of weird issues with my food touching other food and Mexican food is always all mixed up). I do remember that I didn't make it to dinner either night because of that it was at weird times and a small time window like 5-6. The breakfast was really good though, standard buffet breakfast stuff.

There's always Beaches n Cream! I think I ate there every day last time---oh great, now I'm craving those onion rings.

I was surprised that the classes weren't listed on Tuesday, becaue they have the PA event starting today which I would guess means they were in PA yesterday to set up. So do you think that means they won't be listed till next week??? :sad1: I did receive the e-mail that was sent out about classes being listed in several days. Just thought it would have been before the PA event. Oh well...guess I will have to continue working on my patience.

I really wish they would post.

BTW for those thinking of going next year, dream events has started a savings account program. So you could sock $$ away every month and then roll it over to your SDV of choice. It might be a good thing to do.

At this years prices SDV Orlando 2009 would only be 1 dollar a day to stash away.

I see on the calendar one for Indy for this October, but nothing in 2009 or 2010. Will there be one in those years?

Sometimes it depends on the contract. If they can get a signed agreement then they will book 2 or 3 years out, but if it's a year to year type thing then they have to wait and see. I'll ask Nancy and Dale (the owners of SDV) if they have plans yet for the future there. I would love to do Indiana too.

you might want to make it 2 a day just in case there are room price increases. And then we need to work on airfare......
