SDMT at rope drop- how early?

I will be at MK on a level 4 crowd day and want to ride SDMT without a FP. If I get there at 8:30 and it opens at 9 should I be ok getting on without a huge wait? I know to go straight there via the right spoke and not go through the castle.

I do think that will be early enough. We arrived there about that time (in June) and waited just about 30 mins after heading straight there. You should be fine
